It's great to see initiatives like this that focus on supporting nurses through moral distress. Preparing them for ethical challenges is crucial in fostering a healthier work environment and improving patient care. Looking forward to seeing the positive impact this program will have!
Excellent work by Dr. Morley and CCF to recognize and research ethics in the Nursing profession.
Bioethical considerations should be embraced by all professional organisations within the healthcare spectrum.
Stereotypes can bleed from the classroom to the bedside.
Dr. Kenya Beard explains how textbooks can sometimes perpetuate racist stereotypes that nursing students carry into practice.

During my doctoral capstone, I conducted a 14-week quality improvement project focused on fall prevention in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility. This project involved evaluating various components of fall prevention, such as policy compliance and development, fall reporting, and staff knowledge.
Please find a simplified overview of this project, encompassing key elements from the literature review to the final discussion.
The American Academy of Nursing celebrates #EarthDay and the importance of protecting the environment. Over the years, the Academy has championed policy actions highlighting the impact of environmental factors on the overall health and well-being of individuals and communities.
Recent Academy work the Academy has championed focused on environmental health includes the meeting's proceedings from the January 2023 Policy Dialogue "Nursing Leadership in Decarbonizing the Health Sector" and the consensus paper, "Defining the Social Determinants of Health for Nursing Action to Achieve Health Equity," produced by the Environmental and Public Health Expert Panel in conjunction with the Expert Panels on Nursing Theory-Guided Practice; Health Equity; Child, Adolescent and Family; and Psychiatric, Mental Health, and Substance Use.

ADVENTURES OF A MEDICAL DOCTOR ON NYSC CAMP (8)
One of the ways we bonded was having morning devotion and our daily meetings.
It took a week to commence this but when we did, I insisted on it and my colleagues complied.
Initially, I had to take the initiative to lead the devotions and after doing it twice, I assigned others to take turns. For context, most of us were Christians and the few muslims amongst us were allowed to go to the Mosque except on days they willingly stayed behind.
We did this during the general devotion time on camp ground (5am). This was also the time we did not attend to anybody. We opened the clinic by 6am except for emergencies. We had about three occasions where emergencies disrupted our devotion. However, I had professional colleagues and while some attended to the patients, the rest remained attntive to the morning meeting.
After the devotion which lasted from 10 to 20 minutes, I gave a brief on what we were to expect for the day, pass information and listen for feedbacks.
This created a healthy environment, as it helped us handle issues collectively and it helped me know where to improve as the leader. On one occasion, I openly asked them to tell me where I was not doing well as I had heard it passively some where displeased with me. Putting it openly helped some of them open up plus it allowed them to see I wasn't threatened by their feedbacks.
I also employed appreciating the different teams on their participation in the clinic and gave my feedback on what they could do better. On certain instances, I stood my ground on what I had envisioned for the day, and with time, my team agreed with my decision.
N.B I was singing off key sha 😂😂
WHAT I LEARNT
1. A healthy environment is created.
2. Feedback is always important in making progress.
3. If it is group work, collective decisions encourage participation.
4. As a leader know when to make a firm decision and when to be flexible.
5. Consideration is key.
