PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT 20 February 2024 We are delighted to launch our commercially available solution today at the World Water-Tech Innovation Summit. Cortense® - the first commercially available solution to transform #Legionella risk management and dramatically cut water waste - is now available for water specialists, regulators, sustainability leaders and technology giants who are interested in water-efficiency technology and are wanting to find out more about climate-resilient water solutions. The product launch follows seven years of R&D and use case development with public and commercial properties in the UK. It coincides with today’s funding announcement by Wave, a national water retailer, who are using Cortense in a two-year, 1,000-device deployment project to automate and optimise Legionella risk monitoring tasks, support regulatory compliance, improve resource efficiency, and reduce water waste. Waste incineration and sewage sludge 🌊   🔙 Potsdamer Fachtagung   Our Department Manager Wet FGC Claudia Bautsch and our Sales Director DACH and Western Europe Marco Alessandri joined the event.   The ideal place to share ideas and real project experiences with market leaders in #FGC technology, suppliers, plant owners and operators 🤝   We joined exciting discussions about improving existing technology and integrating modern tools and new technological approaches. Over time, local breweries were rendered obsolete and inefficient by large regional breweries feeding national and international markets thanks to technology advances. In its 12 benchmarking studies, BIER has evaluated 18 years of industry performance for nearly 2,000 facilities worldwide. The final results represent a comprehensive set of production, water, energy, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions metrics which are normalized, categorized, and analyzed by facility and beverage type. Schneider Electric is its best kept secret. In this weekly post I am sharing what great things this company is doing for the #water industry, and specially towards helping achieve #SDG6 to ensure access to water and sanitation for all. In these times where #waterscarcity is getting most of the news headlines, I would like to share a great story related to #drinkingwaterpollution, which is another latent problem we have in our industry. In early 2021 the drinking water network at Frederiksberg Forsyning A/S, a public water utility serving 104.000 citizens near Copenhagen, Denmark, was struck by a contamination incident of coliform bacteria. This incident forced its population to boil their drinking water prior to consumption to preserve water quality conditions. Thanks to the use of Schneider Electric's real time #digitaltwin #EcoStruxureWaterSimulation (formerly known as #Aquis), this end user was able to quickly track down the pollution incident, find its source, and effectively coordinate actions to resolve it. Finding the pollution source in a 170km main distribution line was not easy, more so when water from four different sources, not opened simultaneously, was mixed in this main distribution line. Schneider Electric #AlliancePartner NIRAS played a key role, working hand in hand with Frederiksberg Forsyning A/S staff from day one to resolve this critical situation. In the words of Jesper Holm Jørgensen from NIRAS: "The great advantage of having such an online model was that, without any delay at the very first meeting, we could open the model and observe how the water was moving around in the network. And we could continuously use the model to identify new sampling sites. I would estimate that we saved about one week in the tracing work because of the online model."
