Can patient satisfaction data give medical professionals a different view of how their work is valued and how they perform? With this “Voice of the Patient” platform, we envisioned a platform to ensure the patient’s voice is part of every medical center department. Medical centers want happy, satisfied patients who value their services. Mental well-being leads to better clinical outcomes. And patient satisfaction is increasingly important, especially with a raised focus on value-based healthcare. We created a platform that provides insight into the holistic patient experience, satisfaction, and underlying causes. The platform allows the staff to shift their focus from efficiency and quality of care to ensuring satisfaction for patients who value their care, leading to a different motivator for the staff. And with this platform, we ensure that the patient’s voice is a big part of every decision made at the hospital. → View full case here: https://lnkd.in/esTdrFQf #patientsatisfaction #healthcare #patients #valuebasedcare #valuebasedhealthcare

Building Hospitune into a World Class Brand | Leading a High Performance Team Transforming Patient Experience and Operational Excellence in Hospitals and Clinics | Customer Relations, CRM
Empathy is truly at the heart of patient care. In my experience, it’s one of the most powerful ways to create meaningful engagement in hospitals and clinics. When healthcare providers take the time to understand and connect with patients on a human level, it makes a world of difference. Empathy helps reduce anxiety, builds trust, and fosters open communication, key elements for better diagnosis, treatment, and patient satisfaction. More importantly, it leaves a lasting impression on patients, making them feel cared for and valued, not just as patients but as individuals. I believe that hospitals and clinics that embed empathy in their service delivery create deeper connections with their patients, leading to long-term loyalty and positive word of mouth. How has empathy in healthcare impacted your experience? #EmpathyInService #PatientEngagement #HospitalReputation #ClinicReputation #bevproductive #hospitune
Empathy in Service: The Heart of Patient Engagement in Hospitals/Clinics Empathy isn’t just a soft skill, it’s a fundamental element that transforms the patient experience. In hospitals and clinics, showing empathy in every interaction builds trust, strengthens relationships, and enhances engagement. Here’s how empathy in service makes a difference: Building Trust and Comfort: When healthcare providers listen with empathy and show genuine concern, patients feel more comfortable, fostering a deeper sense of trust in the hospital or clinic. Reducing Patient Anxiety: Healthcare can be overwhelming, but empathetic care helps ease patient fears and anxieties, leading to a more relaxed and positive care experience. Improving Communication: Patients who feel understood are more likely to communicate openly with their healthcare team, which leads to better diagnosis, treatment, and overall engagement. Creating Loyal Patients: Empathy creates emotional connections. Patients who feel cared for on a personal level are more likely to return to the same hospital or clinic and recommend its services to others. Enhancing the Patient Experience: Empathy elevates the entire patient journey, from diagnosis to treatment and follow-up. It shows patients that their healthcare provider is focused on them as individuals, not just as cases. Empathy is not just about being kind, it’s about understanding and addressing the emotional needs of patients. Hospitals and clinics that prioritize empathy in their service create deeper engagement, better outcomes, and stronger reputations. #EmpathyInService #PatientEngagement #HospitalReputation #ClinicReputation #PatientSatisfaction #HealthcareExcellence #bevproductive #hospitune

In our latest study, Lizelle Steenkamp, Sian da Silva and I delved into 392,062 Discovery Health Medical Scheme members’ patient satisfaction scores. Our comprehensive 8-year review scrutinises patient satisfaction surveys from those discharged and readmitted within 30 days, uncovering a significant link: patients who initially rated their hospital stay poorly were more likely to face unplanned readmissions. This finding isn't just about numbers. It suggests that patient satisfaction levels could serve as a powerful marker of quality of care, specifically highlighting the risks associated with unplanned readmissions. This correlation also emphasises the importance of getting patients’ feedback as a way to identify critical areas for improvement in healthcare services. By prioritising patient satisfaction, we can address the underlying issues leading to unplanned readmissions, enhancing both patient experience and care quality. Notably, our analysis identified dissatisfaction with communication as a significant factor influencing the risk of readmission e.g. How often and how well did nurses and doctors explain key information to patients? Did healthcare professionals listen carefully to patients? Read the analysis here: https://lnkd.in/dJdUmgGv And, as always, please share your thoughts. I’d love to read your ideas on how we can collectively ensure that patients receive the highest quality of in-hospital care. #PatientCare #QualityImprovement #HealthInsights #Readmissions

Patient feedback #healthcare providers, we strive to offer the best possible care and treatment to our patients. Patient feedback is an essential tool that helps us understand their experiences and improve the quality of our services. Patient feedback can provide valuable insights into various aspects of their experience, such as the appointment booking process, waiting time, interactions with doctors and other medical staff, cleanliness of the healthcare facility, medical care facilities, diagnosis, treatment, patient safety, billing processes, and availability of medicines. At our healthcare center, we value patient feedback and use it to identify areas for improvement, address issues that patients may face, and enhance the overall experience of our patients. We encourage our patients to share their feedback with us to help us serve them better. #PatientFeedback #QualityHealthcare #PatientExperience #HealthcareServices #HealthcareQuality #PatientOpinions #HealthcareFeedback
