Thanks for sharing Davis Kane Architects, P.A. and for including us on your team for this great new facility for the City of Jacksonville!

Last week, we had the immense honor of attending the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the newly completed Jacksonville Fire Station No. 4! We're incredibly proud to have partnered with the City of Jacksonville on this essential project designed to enhance public safety and support the brave first responders who serve the community. The NC Department of Transportation's proposed corridor extension of Jacksonville Parkway necessitated the construction of this new facility to ensure seamless fire department response in the area. Working closely with the City, we developed a state-of-the-art, 13,118 SF fire station tailored to meet modern first responder requirements for the next 50 years. This single-story station features three pull-through bays, each capable of accommodating a platform ladder apparatus, six individual dorm rooms, and an open-concept day room, kitchen, and dining space. It also includes a fitness room with outdoor access, a watch desk, administrative offices, and a comprehensive hot zone/cold zone isolation design for occupant safety. Visitors will also find a historical display of Jacksonville Department memorabilia, complete with a fire pole in the main entrance. The new fire station, a testament to our commitment to the community, is not just equipped to handle current demands, but also designed for future expansion. This ensures it can adapt as the community grows, giving us all confidence in its longevity and effectiveness. We are proud to have played a role in this vital project and look forward to continuing our work in designing spaces that serve and protect. City of Jacksonville CLH design, p.a.
