Digital marketing is extremely important to modern business. It also creates tons of unwanted noise. People and companies are constantly plugged in and focused on digital engagement, online networking, and partnership development. We are all more interconnected than ever. However, our digital activity also creates walls and barriers. The spam, the marketing campaigns, the product pitches, the algorithms... it all gets overwhelming. It leads many of us to not engage with anything or anyone else online. How do we know which outreach is worth our time and attention? This is a million dollar question, and I don't have the magic answer. But I do know this: In the noisy world of digital marketing, I try to listen to genuine people who offer innovative services. And when it comes to recruiting and talent acquisition specifically – a very noisy industry – it can be very difficult to find truly authentic people.
