In the wild wild West of Europe's Private Credit frontier, Investment Banks and Credit funds alike have been prospecting for proverbial gold in the form of regular, and reliable, interest payments. Whilst the Goldmans, the Barings, and the UBS have made their own attempts to wrangle safe returns in the space, Lloyd's Bank are staking their claim by teaming up with Oaktree's European Private Debt platform for a new strategic senior debt partnership. Aiming to streamline Middle-Market buyouts and refinancing opportunities in the UK market, Oaktree and Lloyd's have committed to deploying c.£1bn over the course of their multi-year collaboration.
