Welcome back WordPressers! Now that we���ve covered creating forms with Forminator in our previous video. Today, I���ll guide you through setting up the Secure Forms Pro plan to make your forms HIPAA compliant. Let���s dive right in by heading to the Secure Forms page. (if you haven���t installed Forminator yet, check out part one), Step 1: Purchase the Secure Forms Pro Plan Go to clik it now.com / secure-forms and select the Secure Forms Pro plan. Quick note: If you���re just getting started and want to try things out first, there���s also a free version available for download here that allows you to create and secure one form only. Complete the purchase process, and look out for a confirmation email with download and license details. Take a moment to open that email���it���ll have everything we need for the setup. Step 2: Prepare for the Plugin Installation If you���re using Safari as your browser, it may auto-extract ZIP files by default. To prevent this, follow the link in your email instructions to disable Safari���s ZIP auto-extraction setting. This will keep the file zipped and ready for upload. Step 3: Download the Secure Forms Pro Plugin Click the download link provided in your email to get the Secure Forms Pro plugin file. And remember, if you���re using the free version to test things out, the download process is similar, but it has a few feature limitations. Save the downloaded ZIP file in an easy-to-find location. Step 4: Upload and Activate Secure Forms Pro in WordPress In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New, then select Upload Plugin at the top. Click Choose File, select the Secure Forms Pro ZIP file, and then click Install Now. Once installed, click Activate Plugin. For those using the free version, you can activate the plugin similarly and try out creating a single HIPAA-compliant form. Step 5: Enter Your License Key Make sure both Forminator and Secure Forms are installed and active. Important: Secure Forms is an add-on for Forminator, not a standalone plugin, so Forminator must be installed and active for Secure Forms to work. After activation, you���ll be prompted to enter your license key: Copy the license key from the confirmation email. Go to the Secure Forms settings in your WordPress dashboard, and paste the key into the license field. There you go, you are a pro user now! Now let���s create a new form to get everything ready: Go to Forminator and either select a template or start a new form from scratch. Once you've set up your form, copy the shortcode provided. Head over to a new page, paste the shortcode, and publish the page to make the form live and ready for submissions. Step 6: Secure Forms Setup Go to the Secure Forms plugin settings. Click on Select Forms���this step is essential for protection. From the dropdown, select the form(s) you���d like to secure. Since we're using the Pro version, we can secure unlimited forms here. Once you've selected and submitted your forms, they���re now fully encrypted and protected. Step 7: Testing the Form Submit some example information through your form. After hitting submit, go back into the Secure Forms dashboard, and check the submissions. Here, you���ll see encrypted submission data stored securely in our AWS RDS instance. Step 8: How Encryption Works Here���s the technical part to understand how Secure Forms protects your data: Instead of saving form submissions in plain text, Secure Forms intercepts the data through the Forminator API. The data is encrypted before being sent to the AWS RDS server. Once it reaches the server, it���s encrypted again, ensuring end-to-end security. Step 9: Logging for Compliance Each time someone accesses a submission, Secure Forms logs it for audit purposes. You���ll see information like form ID, username, date, time, and IP address. This logging is crucial for HIPAA compliance, providing an audit trail for handling sensitive data. Note: Form submissions won���t appear in Forminator���s usual submission list, as Secure Forms fully takes over data handling for added security. And that���s it! Now you know how to set up and secure your forms using Secure Forms Pro. With Forminator, your form data is encrypted, protected, and fully compliant with security regulations. Thanks for tuning in!
