On Thursday, Governor Josh Green signed into law three bills that will help condo associations and owners at a time when they face tremendous financial pressures, in large part due to climate change. Climate Hawai'i was proud to be there and to get a shout out from House Speaker Scott Saiki for our advocacy of the Solar Hui bill.

To all of my connections, but mainly those in Florida.. This is why voting matters, up and down the ballot. Governors can be an agent for change in your state. Or, much like Ron DeSantis, they can stand in the way of great progress. Science and facts are objective, and can’t be ignored. Climate Change is real, it’s not a hoax or a radical leftist agenda. And it’s not a red state issue or a blue state issue, it’s a global issue. This year and every year, we need to vote climate deniers OUT of office, and be the stewards of the progress we seek. Help save our planet (i.e. our future). #vote #defundron #climatelegislation #savetheplanet

Ugh, we're with you. Having a rep that is anti-climate is frustrating. And it's easy to feel silenced. But do not give up your power. Own it. Your power as a constituent is to make the role of “climate obstructionist” feel like an unpopular one. It’s easier for an elected official to abdicate responsibility on climate if they can say “I never hear from my constituents on that issue.” 🙉 Make sure they hear from you. 👉 By voicing support for climate action, you’re applying much-needed pressure to anyone who denies climate science and fails to act on your behalf. Keep calling. Keep emailing. 🔥 Public attitudes are used to prioritize policy issues – climate action always needs to be a priority. 🌿💻✨ Climate Changemakers has modern step-by-step playbooks and a community network to be with you every step of the way!✨ Get in on the action: https://lnkd.in/gTSH5pVx #climatechange #climatescience #scienceisreal #climatedenial #callcongress #cleantech #renewableenergy #advocacy #changemakers

In recent years, the climate justice debate has gained traction calling for urgent action on climate change as the clock is ticking. People in the Global North are raising their voices calling on their governments to act on climate change, while people in the Global South are raising their voices and talking about the historical responsibility of the developed world and the uneven use of carbon budgets. Activists and thinkers argue that people in the rich Global North owe the poor Global South a debt based on historical GHG emissions. Apart from historical responsibility, Climate Justice has many facets linked to it. In my video, I have discussed the various aspects of climate justice along with their importance and challenges. Below is the video link: https://lnkd.in/gnSAKdbv I’d love to hear what you have to say about the climate justice debate and how the world can go about solving this problem without having any effect on the overall global climate action plan. #climatechange #climateaction #climatejustice #ghg #indigenouspeoples #youthempowerment #sustainablefuture #justtransition #sustainabledevelopment
