The Scottish Government aims to reduce car kilometres by 20% by 2030, compared to 2019. To support them, we commissioned a suite of three studies looking into a range of measures that could help reduce car use: - the impact of parking policies by Ansons Consulting - how to encourage sustainable travel among under-18s and their families by The James Hutton Institute and Heriot-Watt University - the benefits of sustainable travel to local high streets and town centres by Cenex. Findings from the three studies have informed the development of an updated car use reduction route map and informed discussions at local and national level. They've helped the Scottish Government to plan future work with schools and can inform local development plans and local transport strategies to encourage a shift to active travel and public transport. Dublin ranks the second slowest city in the world when it comes to traffic congestion 🚘 🚦 New data from TomTom, shows trips totalling 10km in Dublin take roughly 29 minutes and 30 seconds. In comparison, Bilbao in Spain, which has a similar population to Dublin, has a travel time of 13 minutes and 40 seconds for journeys of the same distance! It is MPI’s vision that Ireland develops as a global leader in shared sustainable mobility by placing the needs of transport users at the heart of transport policy, enabling innovation, promoting public health, and supporting climate action. 🌎 Shared mobility can help make Dublin a more sustainable and congestion-free urban environment. 🌟 Enterprise Mobility I GoCar Ireland I Yuko Toyota Car Club I Bleeper I MOBY I Aircoach I Payzone Ireland I FREENOW

Funded by Interreg North Sea Programme the project "Shared Multimodal Mobility for ALL (SMALL)" is transforming urban mobility and was selected as one of the finalists of the Interreg Slam 2024-2025. 🚲 While shared bikes, scooters, and vehicles have revolutionized city travel, they often cater mainly to young urban adults. Shared Mobility for All is changing that by co-creating solutions that make shared mobility accessible to everyone—children, families, the elderly, and individuals with physical impairments.
