Reconstruction of the proximal humerus in children who undergo bone tumor resection is challenging, and no consensus exists on the best method. For very young children with no other alternatives, Costantino Errani et al. suggest resurfaced allograft-prosthesis composites as a surgical option: Despite the high risk of complications, most children in their study retained their allografts, achieving good functional outcomes at the last follow-up interval.
