EmpiRx Health is excited to share our new corporate brand video. Featuring commentaries from our CEO, Danny S., along with our EVP and Chief Pharmacy Officer, Polina Kogan, the video highlights the serious challenges faced today by plan sponsors and their members in managing the rising costs of prescription drugs. Equally important, the video discusses how the legacy PBM industry has failed to adequately address these growing problems.
The video describes EmpiRx Health’s unique, clinically-driven approach to pharmacy care that addresses the drug cost problem “at the pen,” when the physician writes the prescription. It also highlights how our new Clinically™ - Powered by EmpiRx Health™ technology platform is helping to keep patients healthy while substantially lowering prescription drug costs.

Whether it's in corporate boardrooms or in the halls of the US Congress, one of the most urgent discussions you hear today is what to do about the rising cost of healthcare. The exploding cost of care creates serious risk for company benefit plans and the patients who rely on them, as well As for the nation's overall economy. The problem comes into even sharper focus when you look at the skyrocketing costs of prescription drugs, especially high-priced specialty medications, from 1990 to 2024. The FDA has gone from approving just 10 specialty drugs to nearly 400 that are available today. Another 100 of these costly biologic drugs are currently in development with no end insight. In fact, 80% of new drugs being approved by the FDA are specialty medications. The average cost of a new drug coming to market today is $222,000 a year. This presents an enormous challenge for the healthcare system and benefit plans. Big drug manufacturers have an undue influence on the drugs that are prescribed, causing costs to go up even higher. Is the legacy pharmacy benefits management industry doing anything to address these critical cost issues? Unfortunately, the answer is no. By driving drug volume and rebates, the biggest PBM's are focused on maximizing their profits instead of solving the real problems faced by plan sponsors and patients. There is a better way to manage the growing costs of prescription drugs while ensuring patient health and well-being and empirics health. We are unique in the pharmacy care industry because we attack the drug cost problem at the pen when the physician writes a prescription for those medications are clinically driven pharmacy care model has flipped the PBM script by putting the pharmacist at the center of the service model. We recently launched clinically to strengthen and expand our clinically driven approach to pharmacy care clinically. An advanced AI power technology platform that gives our pharmacists to critical tools and support they need to make the right medication therapy recommendations. Clinically supports 3 essential functions of pharmacy care. Pharmacy claims adjudication, end to end clinical reviews and a proprietary population health engine that powers our clinically driven pharmacy care solutions. Clinically also strengthens our best in class customer service and member care. Here's how Empirix houses clinically driven. Pharmacy care model works. All pharmacists use the clinically platforms, population health engine and clinically reviewed technologies to identify the patients who could benefit most from a higher level of care. His uncle operate closely with prescribing physicians to recommend clinically appropriate medication therapies that optimize patient health while reducing costs for the plan sponsor. For example, one of our pharmacists discovered that patients prescribe plaque psoriasis medication could worsen their existing symptoms of inflammatory bowel disease. We recommended a more clinically appropriate lower cost oral medication that would not impact patients about disease. The result was improved health outcomes for the patient and then. In your savings of more than $21,000 for the plan sponsor, our core mission is to make sure patients receive the right drug at the right time at the right cost. The real crux of the problem is that the largest PBMS operate more like financial trading firms instead of being healthcare organizations that prioritize patient health and empiric self. We know that pharmacy care is healthcare, and we have a radically different vision for that care. It's a vision that attacks a problem of rising drug costs at the source when the prescriptions are written. Our pharmacy care vision always puts the interests of customers and members first. We believe so much in this unique vision that we guarantee the clinical savings we promise to our clients. When you do the right thing for clients and patients, everyone wins.
