I’ve seen alot of Diabetic patients and Health conscious patients shift to Digestive Biscuits - thinking they have less sugar and less fat - but the reality is , these So called Digestive Biscuits with less calories - are loaded with Complex Carbs called Polysaccharides and these Polysaccharides are tough to be digested by Human Digestive system, as the Human digestive system doesn’t have the required enzymes to digest those polysaccharides, and thus will stay undigested or partially digested - which leads to Bowel disturbances over a period of time and cause irritable bowel syndrome ( IBS).
