Let’s face it. Just as software has changed #healthcare for the better, it’s also caused a lot of issues for the industry. Legacy systems have strained care teams, requiring cumbersome data input processes. These programs are often insecure, as well, leading to dangerous breaches. And persistently non-interoperable point solutions contribute to inefficiencies and unnecessary spending. A recent article in Simedics (The Journal of mHealth) explores how no-code platforms are providing an ideal antidote to rigid, inflexible software so often encountered in the healthcare space. Putting providers in the driver seat of customizing their #digitalhealth tools, this technology can allow organizations to be nimbler and more adaptive when it comes to innovation. Do you currently use a no-code solution? Tell us about it in the comments! 👇 https://hubs.la/Q02w2q9G0

Great report from Becker's Healthcare on why Ardent is not focusing on technology just for technology’s sake. According to Ardent’s chief digital information officer, the aim is to align technology with the organization’s strategic direction to purpose-driven work. “We’re focused on technology to solve health problems, not focusing on technology just for technology’s sake.” This article is relevant for health tech marketers looking for inspiration as they design their content programs. Look for topics that revolve around the impact of your technology on patients, providers, and other stakeholders. How does it address a pressing need? Do you have stories of real-world ROI? One 2023 article published by Healthleaders (link in the comment) suggested that hospitals are looking for hard ROI in virtual nursing. They see the potential, but they want to know how it addresses multiple pain points, particularly how it impacts patient care. A vendor offering virtual nursing solutions can use ideas from the article to inform their content topics. For example, educational content that discusses the impact of virtual nursing on the benchmarks mentioned in the article, “patient length of stay, patient satisfaction, patient flow (including transfers), nurse turnover and overtime, and documentation compliance.” This is one way to cut through the noise and win in the face of content saturation. #healthit #healthtechcontentmarketing #healthtech SOURCE https://lnkd.in/d3pPdbHZ

In an era driven by digital innovation, the transition from paper-based to electronic health records (EHR) represents a monumental leap forward in healthcare delivery. For practices still reliant on traditional paper-based systems, embracing an EHR doesn't have to be a daunting task. It opens doors to enhanced efficiency, improved patient care, and sustainable growth. 📑 Streamlined Workflows: Digitizing paper-based practices with EHR systems streamlines administrative tasks, liberating healthcare professionals from the burdens of manual data entry and paperwork. From patient intake and beyond, automation accelerates processes, reduces errors, and frees up valuable time for clinicians to focus on what truly matters—providing exceptional care. 💡 Comprehensive Patient Insights: EHR platforms empower healthcare providers with comprehensive, real-time patient insights at their fingertips. This facilitates informed decision-making and personalized care delivery, leading to better patient outcomes. 🔒 Enhanced Security and Compliance: In an age of heightened data privacy concerns, EHR systems offer robust security measures to safeguard patient information. By implementing encryption protocols, access controls, and regular audits, practices can ensure their data is only being accessed by those who need to see it, bolstering patient trust and mitigating risks of data breaches. 🌱 Facilitating Practice Growth: Embracing an EHR drives operational efficiency and lays the foundation for practice expansion and scalability. 🌟 Our Unique Approach: At Medial, we are not just another EHR provider. We are passionate about empowering healthcare practices to thrive in the digital age. Our services are tailored to make healthcare more efficient across the Caribbean. Legacy System Modernization in Action: A Real Success Story 💽 → Increased security → Improved efficiency → Cost reduction These are the primary drivers of legacy system modernization among medical facilities (as reported by Statista). But let's start from the beginning. 🤔Why Modernize Old Systems? The problem is that legacy systems must catch up with modern tech, like AI and RPM. Upgrading them is a must-do for improving things, keeping patient info safe, and ensuring everyone gets the care they need. Of course, it's easier said than done. There are challenges you need to tackle to modernize your old systems efficiently. 💡How to Address Key Challenges in Legacy System Modernization: 1. Data Migration Plan your data migration carefully, double-check every data point, and ensure everything is clear. 2. Integration Choose tech known for playing well with existing systems and test it until everything works as intended. 3. Data Security Take up-to-date security measures and teach everyone on the team to spot security breaches and data leaks. 4. Downtime Opt for careful planning, temporary workarounds, and solid infrastructure to keep the system working smoothly. But enough of the theory. Let's check out how real-world companies benefit from modernizing old systems ⤵️ 🏆The Success Story behind Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust ✓ The challenge: CHFT struggled with multiple patient data handovers, which involved recording notes, typing them up, and checking them before processing them. ✓ The goal: The entity wanted to reduce repetitive administrative tasks for staff and speed up patient note transfer. ✓ The approach: CHFT executives decided to opt for system modernization. They partnered with the Health Informatics Service to integrate voice recognition into their clinical settings. ✓ The outcome: In just 6 months, CHFT saved their staff about 150,000 minutes on data entry routine. They got more consistent record keeping, reduced patient data errors, and increased medical staff satisfaction. 🧘And the Lesson Is: Careful planning, expert help, and some training can help you reach business goals faster with newer healthcare systems and features. Are you eager to improve your software? If so, let me know in the comments, and Jelvix experts will provide you with professional advice. #legacy #system #healthcare #healthctech #patient
