A warning to potential applicants: I was unfairly suspended on 19 February 2024 and unfairly dismissed on 2 July 2024 for three counts of gross misconduct after a sham disciplinary process. As a litigant in person I am taking the (two male decision makers who comprise the senior leadership team at the) Land Trust to Employment Tribunal for: 1) Automatic unfair dismissal due to protected disclosure as they continue to fail to meet a) their legal contractual obligations to Hill-Marshall and b) their regulatory health and safety obligations as highlighted by their failure to act in response to the protected disclosures I made to the Chief Executive at a meeting on 8 February 2024 when I told him that there was an ongoing risk to life and that this was highlighted during the water crisis that left 320 households without safe water in their taps for five days in 18-22 January 2024. 2) Disability discrimination due to failure to take into consideration my neurodiversities (ADHD and Aspergers), failure to address unacceptable behaviour by Hill-Marshall to which I was vulnerable; and failure to purchase £7k worth of support measures fully funded by DWP through their Access to Work scheme; 3) Gender discrimination due to assumption that my actions to deliver obligations were the result of gendered stereotypes and prejudice; and that compassion and empathy were considered beyond my remit and that of my two managers; and 4) Unfair retention of bonus (because i had 'performance issues' and was under disciplinary proceedings) after I had exceeded expectations and delivered more to the charity's KPIs at Marleigh than any other Land Trust site. The optics of taking a charity to Tribunal are not good and it does not sit comfortably. More so because the contract between the Land Trust and Hill-Marshall allows my employer to pass on to residents (via service charge) all legal costs and compensation awarded. This has allowed the Land Trust to act with impunity when it comes to their legal obligations to me.
The Land Trust is seeking a highly motivated Estates and Facilities Officer, based at the Hanger Building in Marleigh, Cambridge. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of the community centre and the wider open space at Marleigh, and provide first line support for residents and the local community. Location: Hanger Building Jubilee Square, Marleigh, Cambridge Hours: Permanent 36 hours p/w Monday – Friday: some weekend & evening work required to be agreed before hand Salary: £30,000 DoE plus benefits Full job description can be found here - https://lnkd.in/efaddzcS Closing date: Monday 14 October 2024. #newjob #newoppourtunity #newrole #estatesofficer #estatesandfacilitiesofficer #greenspacemanagement #community #thelandtrust

I would like to know where all the jobs in the province have gone. Experienced office workers with years of experience are being told they need schooling. Now what better way of learning is on the job experience over 30 years. And that experience is the management level. Businesses have all these coaches to help manage employees yet the businesses that need them the most don’t want them. Now if businesses are asking for education proof if they can do the job, hire them and get them working. There are a lot of people looking for jobs but working in an office is giving someone a chance to excel in the knowledge they already have. If businesses are saving money by cutting staff positions they are not going to save as when the Govt taxes businesses over a certain level of income, there goes your money 💰. Lets open the economy and start hiring people again and maybe we could make Saskatchewan strong.
