Another data-driven success story in sports. This time part of the sports close to my heart... CRICKET 🏏 🏏 🏏 Although not complete but a continuous & gradual shift in the selection process from "Subjective" to "Empirical". Example - using the "Weighted Averages" based on "Quality of Inning" linking with the assumed "Scenarios". Now, these scenarios vary depending on the variables i.e next opposition team, pitches conditions, home or away and so on.... Based on the above, the "Player Profiles" are created and then "matched" with the next "tour". That's how, it is claimed, the recent victory in test match against India is achieved...😎 👋 👋 Challenge for Analyst / Statistician in the ECB is to collect enough evidence to prove this hypothesis is true
