There is an exciting new update to the 3D fashion design app CLO! I am sure that my fellow colleagues who had previously worked in the fashion industry are mostly familiar with CLO, but far beyond this, this tool is incredibly useful for companies who want to cut down on the costs of their marketing campaigns that require human models - you could use this for a beauty brand, or any other product brand!
There has been an incredible update to this tool called 'AI Avatar Studio', where you can generate realistic human faces on your 3d models with realism and ease - talk about a great way to save money on campaigns! I am going to be trying out this new tool and posting an update of my experience with it, I want to see how well these faces are generated quality wise! Stay tuned!

A tactile camera - 𝟮𝗖𝟯𝗗 has invented by Oren Geva especially for the visually impaired individuals helping them to visualize the Beautiful Colors of Life by inclusive photography.
The screen of 𝟮𝗖𝟯𝗗 is inspired by Pin Toy and let the blind persons a "see-through" touch, capturing 3D media (images & videos).
Users can use this camera by understanding how its screen's 3D pixels shift.
A visually-impaired individual can touch its screen while taking a photo to feel what the camera sees in real time.
If they like the sensation, they can save the 3D file, essentially creating a physical-digital photo album.

Elliott A. shared the latest update by Luma with me, (text to 3D, image to 3D) today.
I was looking for open source and came across this just now.
It's a paper called "Triplane meets Gaussian Splatting" . This is a 1shot (zero?) that converts any image to a 3D model.
I tried this out on their Hugging Face space and it works ok-ish.
I had a #stablediffusion generated perfume bottle concept and uploaded it to the Triplane space. It segmented it and created a 3D model from the photo.
You can download the 3D model too.
This is very interesting as it means you'll be able to create 3D assets, game models, and even interactive environments with ease. I'm looking at this happening in 2024.

🌟Few pointers from the paper
🎯In this paper authors have introduced “GaussianAvatars”, a new method to create photorealistic head avatars that are fully controllable in terms of expression, pose, and viewpoint.
🎯 The core idea is a dynamic 3D representation based on 3D Gaussian splats
that are rigged to a parametric morphable face model.
🎯This combination facilitates photorealistic rendering while allowing for precise animation control via the underlying parametric model, e.g., through expression transfer from a driving sequence or by manually changing the morphable model parameters.
🎯They parameterized each splat by a local coordinate frame of a triangle and optimize for explicit displacement offset to obtain a more accurate geometric representation.
🎯During avatar reconstruction, they jointly optimize for the morphable model parameters and Gaussian splat parameters in an end-to-end fashion.
