One of the challenges that people face is that the homes they live in feel cramped. While we might not be able to change the size of the apartment, we can create an illusion that it is bigger than it is  One of the most common ways is using light, neutral colors on the walls. Whites, beiges, and soft pastels can make the space more open and airy.  The bigger the window, the better. Large windows let in more natural light and give the illusion of a larger space. If you can, opt for higher ceilings. They create a sense of volume and openness in any room. Not everyone likes an open-plan layout, but an open-plan layout can create an open, flowing space that feels larger. One last trick is incorporating reflective surfaces like glass, mirrors, and glossy finishes to bounce light around the room and create a sense of depth.
