🚀 SpaceX and X Moving to Texas Elon Musk announced that SpaceX and X (formerly Twitter) will relocate from California to Texas due to regulatory frustrations and recent legislation. 📜 Reasons Musk cited dissatisfaction with California's regulations, especially a new law (AB1955) on school notifications about transgender identity. Safety and operational issues in San Francisco were also factors. 🏢 New HQs SpaceX will move to Starbase, Texas, a hub for Starship rockets. X will relocate to Austin, aligning with Tesla's HQ move in 2021. 📈 Impact California's aerospace industry may suffer, while Texas gains high-tech jobs. Governor Greg Abbott praised the move, highlighting Texas' role in innovation. Some SpaceX facilities may stay in California. 🔀 Musk's Strategy This is part of Musk's broader shift to business-friendly states, following Tesla's HQ move to Austin and his neural tech company's move to Nevada. ❓ Comment Your Thoughts How will these relocations affect U.S. tech hubs and state business environments? You don't need millions of dollars to solve problems. → Sometimes all it takes is a bit of glue. When #SpaceX was developing the Falcon rocket, the team hit a major roadblock. They found cracks in the engine. Did Elon Musk panic and throw money at the problem like most executives would? → No. Instead, he used epoxy to patch it up. His engineers thought he was crazy. Using epoxy to repair a rocket would never fly by N.A.S.A., standards. To Musk, it was about solving a problem without blowing a huge amount of money. This wasn’t a permanent fix, but it allowed SpaceX to keep testing, saving time and avoiding expensive delays. Whether you're an entrepreneur or an employee, the lesson is clear: → Be scrappy. → Be resourceful. → Think outside the box. It’s not always about having the perfect solution, but about finding ways to keep moving forward. Push the boundaries, find creative fixes, and remember—it’s not about what you have, but how you use it.

#𝟱 𝗼𝗳 #𝟳 𝗙𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿. We're wired to accept the first plausible answer, so we miss exploring potentially better solutions beneath the surface. Rory Sutherland's thinking is a blast, and affected the way I think, create and advise. His flagship example is Eurostar. Instead of scrambling and spending billions to make the London-Paris train marginally faster, hire entertainers and provide free WiFi, to make the journey more enjoyable, for a fraction of the price. My favorite comes from SpaceX. They are good at this, but they weren't at first. When Musk asked: "if there's $6M falling out of the sky, wouldn't you go catch it?", the engineers rushed to drawing boards. Had they questioned the question and ignored the first answer, SpaceX wouldn't have wasted months and millions designing the ship with massive nets to catch the falling fairings. What's the 1st answer you should have f¨cked evolving your business? — 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘐 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 7 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘣𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘦, 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘪𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘰. Considering I can be a strong critic of some of Elon Musk's behaviour, I think it's only fair that I comment publicly that I think what he and his team have done over at SpaceX is absolutely incredible. Musk's greatest quality is making the "impossible", possible, and he deserves an enormous amount of credit for pushing the limits of human achievement in the modern world. Hat's off to you, this time, Mr. Musk. - Joseph https://lnkd.in/dGvGyEm9 Disagree with something I´ve said? Which is most likely in your opinion? 1. California officials are rightly concerned with what appears to be a largely unhinged, unpredictable SpaceX leader that should not be presiding over such an important, strategic and potentially dangerous industry and its operations. or 2. California officials are petty and pissed with all the shade Elon Musk has thrown, and Musk likely the first mover precipitating an accerating mass exodus of businesses and people in an overtaxed and poorly governed state. https://lnkd.in/gnXmCJ3s

In a bold move echoing SpaceX's Texas transition, Elon Musk flirts with the idea of Tesla following suit. 💭 Texas' business-centric atmosphere and the potential for operational cohesion with Tesla's significant presence in Austin underscore this consideration. Such a change could signify a strategic alignment of Tesla's legal and operational identities, promising potential fiscal and logistical boons. Elon Musk's exploration of Texas as Tesla's new legal home could be a masterstroke, offering fiscal perks and operational consolidation with the Gigafactory. This pivot, prompted by SpaceX's recent incorporation change, may enhance Tesla's national footprint and leverage Texan economic incentives. 💰 For insights into SpaceX's corporate move and what Tesla's similar path might entail, delve into our full article in the link below. 📃https://lnkd.in/exmVNBQD #tesla #elonmusk #spacex #twitter #technews

Jensen Huang recently described Elon Musk as "superhuman", and there might be some truth to it. 5 days in the life of Elon Musk: 1) Reveal Tesla Robotaxis, redefining the concept of car ownership and individual mobility. 2) Introduce Optimus as a household helper, making humanoids mainstream for B2C markets. 3) Successfully complete testing for a fully reusable and quickly deployable rocket with SpaceX. That is aside of spinning up an AI supercluster for xAI in less than 20 days and completing first human trials of Neuralink earlier this year. No matter if we personally like him or not, the accomplishments are indeed extraordinary. But there's still a human element: he has to navigate bureaucracy like the rest of us. Tomorrow he's about to sue the California Coastal Commission for rejecting SpaceX launch requests: "Elon Musk is hopping about the country, spewing and tweeting political falsehoods and attacking FEMA while claiming his desire to help the hurricane victims with free Starlink access" (Gretchen Newsom). Politics and business don't mix well... #elonmusk #tesla #spacex #innovation

At SpaceX, there’s one rule you never break: never tell Elon Musk something is impossible. The moment you say it can’t be done, you’re stepping into dangerous territory. Imagine you’re explaining to Musk why a particular feature can’t possibly be made cheaper or why there’s simply not enough time to hit his impossible deadline. You think you’ve made a solid case, but Musk doesn’t accept that. He’ll stare right at you, calmly say you’re off the project, and lead the project himself. He’ll do your job. He’ll deliver it. Every single time someone doubts the timeline, the cost, or the technology, Musk steps in, takes over, and delivers the project himself. No excuses, no delays, just results. That’s the kind of intensity he brings. If you think it’s impossible, Musk will prove you wrong and show you that nothing really is. I’ll never get tired of seeing this legend win.

Shrenik Jain posted this comment post chopstick capture, in what is a typical "Elon is a superhero" post. Using the example of Elon "doing it himself" if anyone says it cannot be done. Of course, there is the problem that anyone saying it can't be done is doing so from their level of responsibility and budget within the company. Meanwhile, Elon can spend a hundred thousand times a budget line if he commands it. Elon can play fast and loose with safety; the consequences are his to bear. Elon can take risks that no one else in the company can. Elon can wield fear, especially after taking over a project. Elon can appropriate any resources he chooses. All to say that the people saying it cannot be done probably can't do it, and Elon "proving you wrong" is a consequence of an asymmetric playing field. I do not doubt that Elon is a genius. He is very capable of seeing and doing things that others cannot. But I have a problem with comparing the richest man in the world, the CEO and someone's boss' boss' boss' boss as wildly better/smarter. If anything, this style of management will be his downfall. Elon is not infinite. He may not know it, but he will hit a wall. When he does, every single project he micromanaged will collapse. His teams will not have the leaders they need. If "no" isn't an answer, the culture should be to define the cost, and Elon should be willing to enable managers and engineers to leverage his will however necessary. The problem becomes time. Elon will burn out everyone around him, because he'll force people to take on what they are not capable of. A project gets done, but eventually, you run out of people. This takes nothing away from the miracle that is the recent booster capture. But everything Elon purports to want requires sustainability from the corporate organism. Cutting out your kidney every time you want to pee faster will eventually kill you. Suggesting Elon is a god for all of it doesn't help, either. #spacex #starship #elonmusk #management #burnout #miracles
