👏Volunteers are central to any community football club.
You can’t expect girls to join football clubs if they don’t have positive female role models. Some girls have a preference to be trained and receive advice from someone who is like them, who perhaps has been through a similar experience. It’s particularly important for teenage girls who may feel more comfortable addressing their concerns or issues with a female coach.
Finding new volunteers……………..
One common challenge that nearly all grassroots sports clubs struggle with is finding new volunteers to join their team.
Volunteers bring a wealth of benefits to a club, for example:
Extra people helping around the club, whether that’s coaching, organising what goes on and off the field.
Introducing people who are passionate about your club. Most people have a motive or reason for volunteering in the first place, such as being a current athlete or related to the child.
People in your community may have time on their hands and may enjoy becoming part of the football family.
We need volunteers, especially female role models to help the next generation of girls fall in love with the game.
