From LEO satellites direct to Cell, Humanoid robots teased under 20K, and VR becoming more consumer grade, the possibility of controlling a humanoid that is ambidextrous is raising a lot of interesting possibilities. 📢 Common aircraft 🛫 takeoff V speeds Let's walkthrough the common heard aircraft #takeoff V-speeds. ➡ V1 (Takeoff Decision Speed): - Definition: V1 is the critical speed during takeoff beyond which the pilot must commit to taking off, even if an issue arises (e.g., engine failure). - Decision Point: Before reaching V1, the takeoff can be safely aborted. - Scenario: If an engine fails before V1, the pilot will abort the takeoff. - Significance: V1 ensures that the aircraft has enough distance to either stop or continue the takeoff safely. ➡ VR (Rotation Speed): - Definition: VR is the speed at which the pilot begins to apply control inputs to initiate nose-up rotation. - Rotation: After reaching VR, the aircraft rotates (nose pitches up) and leaves the ground. - Role: VR marks the transition from ground roll to flight. - Safety: Even if an engine fails at VR, the aircraft can still take off and climb safely. ➡ V2 (Takeoff Safety Speed): - Definition: V2 is the speed at which the aircraft can take off and climb even if an engine is not working. - Safety: Even if an engine fails at V2, the aircraft can still take off and climb safely In summary, V1 is the decision speed, VR initiates the rotation during takeoff, while V2 initiates the takeoff and ensures safe climb performance.
