How awesome are these 4 fabulous future female business leaders from WVU John Chambers College of Business and Economics? They chose to initiate a Buy One, Give One campaign to benefit children staying at WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital as part of their service learning project. As part of the collaboration, they learned how to plan, manage, and execute a project, write business emails, create a marketing campaign, and most importantly, the power of using their business skills to benefit people in their own community. Thank you to the WVU Center for Community Engagement and Li Wang for creating opportunities like this for community organizations to partner with WV’s future leaders and change-makers. Let’s show these hardworking and bright students your support, by sharing or participating in their campaign! Now through November 28th, for every one of our Lila Bear STEM activity boxes sold on our website, one will be donated to a child at the Children’s Hospital. This is an opportunity to support 3 groups of West Virginians just by doing some holiday shopping for the kiddos in your family. Participate in these students’ project, show some love for children at the hospital, and support Libera’s programs to educate, mentor and employ youth in WV. Shop our fun, educational, and WV-inspired STEM boxes that also give back on our website at https://lnkd.in/eYHtUUqM. Don’t have a kiddo to buy for but want to show your support? Then consider visiting the website and sponsoring a box. All boxes sponsored during the campaign will also benefit children at the hospital. #wvu #wv #giveback #socialenterprise #stemeducation #servicelearning #supportlocal #nonprofit #femaleleaders #communitypartnerships

💡What happens to the brightness of the bulbs in a parallel circuit when a new bulb is added?💡 If you know the answer, comment below. ⬇️ In our Early Adopters Tech Education Program, students engage in hands-on learning experiences with technology. In this picture, Eliza works to complete her circuit. We work hard to develop a curriculum that students find engaging with kinesthetic activities that use hands and brains, and are FUN! But don't take it from us, listen to Julian from Hobby Elementary, who said: "Compudopt makes me happy because I get to play with technology and learn more about it and the activities are fun." Want to #chargeupcompudopt Tech Education Programs, so that students like Eliza and Julian can continue to build circuits, brain connections, and have fun? 🪫 ➡️ 🔋 You can donate here: https://lnkd.in/g6ufVmQk #STEMeducation #handsonlearning #nonprofit #donate

📢 Calling all supporters! 🌟 At NMWorg, we recently had the incredible opportunity to visit Engorika Primary School, a local Maasai school in Monduli village. Our purpose? To understand the challenges faced by young children in their pursuit of education. During our visit, we had the privilege of meeting with dedicated teachers, enthusiastic students, and influential local leaders. Through our interactions, we recognized the pressing need for essential school supplies to empower these bright minds. And so, we took it upon ourselves to donate items such as pens, pencils, and colors. However, our efforts didn't stop at material provisions alone. We wanted to delve deeper into the specific needs of these children to truly make a lasting impact. From our conversations, we discovered that many Maasai children lack school backpacks, which significantly affects their ability to transport their study materials safely. Additionally, essential tools like pens, pencils, and notebooks are often in short supply. Moreover, school uniforms and shoes remain beyond the reach of some families, hindering the children's access to quality education. Recognizing these challenges, we at NMWorg firmly believe that we are the right organization to provide the necessary support. With your generous donations and volunteer efforts, we can contribute to transforming the lives of these children in the Maasai community. ✨ How will the children benefit? ✨ By supporting our project in Monduli village, you will directly contribute to bringing smiles back to the faces of these young scholars. Through your generous contributions, we will: 1️⃣ Provide school backpacks, ensuring students can safely and conveniently transport their study materials. 2️⃣ Supply pens, pencils, and notebooks, empowering students to excel in their studies. 3️⃣ Provide school uniforms and shoes, allowing children to attend school with confidence. 4️⃣ Introduce solar delight to the community, ensuring access to sustainable and eco-friendly lighting solutions. Your support will undoubtedly empower Maasai children, giving them the tools they need to succeed academically and in life. Together, we can create a brighter future for these amazing young individuals! Join us in our mission by donating funds, extending your support, or even offering volunteer assistance. Together, we can make a real difference and bring about lasting change in the Maasai community. 🌍 Together, we can light up their world and ignite their potential! 🌟 #NMWorg #MaasaiEducationProject #TransformingLives #DonateForEducation

Before co-launching Asian Girls Ignite, I had no idea that this important work could be a full-time opportunity for me. Thanks to the Moonshot edVentures Fellowship, Colorado Asian American and Pacific Islander girls and gender-expansive youth have access to a space where they feel seen, heard, acknowledged, empowered, and united. The work we did in the Fellowship not only helped me fulfill the dream of starting this non-profit, but it also helped me dive deeper into how the identities I hold positively and directly impact my leadership. Moonshot believes that if we invest in a community of local, historically marginalized leaders, and support them to design and launch learning models that look dramatically different and are tailored to meet the needs of students and families, we can transform outcomes for students who are marginalized by our education system. From now until November 10th, Moonshot is running their first ever giving campaign called Funding Our Future. Moonshot has big dreams for not just the organization’s future but that of educators and our students. Your support would help give Moonshot permission and flexibility to support more Fellows, like me, in new ways, experiment with programming, and push the envelope of what’s possible. Any amount makes a difference. For example: - $5 covers the cost of print supplies for one workshop - $100 pays for a youth coach to support Fellows during workshops - $500 provides a tuition scholarship for a new Fellow What’s even more exciting is that a few generous supporters have promised to match donations for up to $10,000 -- meaning anything you give between now and November 10th is doubled! Your support makes a difference in the present and future of education. I've already donated. Will you join me? This year is almost at an end, but there’s still plenty of time to make a difference and empower young Black girls and boys to dive into STEM education. Before December 31, we need to raise $5,635 to meet our $10,000 goal. Reaching this goal is vital to being able to continue our work next year. This year alone, we reached 1952 students through 68 events (STEM programs, career panels, STEM outreach, etc.). We need 225 followers to donate $25 to help reach our goal. Will you make a $25 donation today to help us?
