CME Wire and Cable, Inc.’s Post

Congratulations to Alex Mordini on completing CME's NEXT Pro Program! Alex successfully participated in CME's Rotational Internship Program, gaining invaluable experience across multiple departments, including Sales, Supply Chain, and Human Resources. Over the course of 12 months, Alex developed practical skills, contributed to key projects, and gained a deep understanding of CME’s vertically integrated business model. Through hands-on training, mentor guidance, and end-of-rotation presentations, Alex provided thoughtful recommendations to improve workflows and operations. This experience not only strengthened Alex’s professional skillset but also solidified his understanding of cross-departmental collaboration, preparing him for future success in the industry. Read more about Alex's experience: "The program was a great learning experience that truly expanded my knowledge and skills in a professional environment. Specifically, it helped me understand the company as a whole, the products we sell, and the industry we operate in. I gained insight into how CME functions and how various departments interact. Experiencing how questions and issues are approached from different perspectives across departments was incredibly valuable to my overall understanding of the company. Additionally, I had the opportunity to learn about our products, how they are manufactured, and the differences in product offerings between our sales teams. As I prepare to settle into a more permanent role at CME, I feel reassured by the connections I’ve made through months of collaboration. For instance, it has been especially helpful to put faces to names with coworkers in the Houston warehouse, rather than only knowing them through email. Some of my biggest takeaways from this program include the importance of asking questions, forming connections, and gaining a thorough understanding of everything surrounding your role. Understanding what others in the organization do helps you know who to reach out to for assistance when diagnosing problems. Finally, being prompt and responsive to customers is critical. Customers are CME’s top priority, and that focus has been key to the company’s success. Keeping them informed and engaged when solving issues on their behalf is essential." Congratulations again, Alex, on your achievements and your bright future at CME!
