Transformative Cybersecurity Leader | Championing MDR SOC | Overseeing Detection Engineering | Masterminding Training & Assessments Strategy
Hey Everyone! I hope you are all having a great start to the New Year! We had a great kickoff recently where we came together and really focused on what was going to be important for 2024! I am super excited to say that we will be continuing to work on huge advancements when it comes to SOC optimization as well as SOC efficiency! We are committed to winning the unfair fight and protecting our partners! I continue to be amazed at what the team at Blackpoint Cyber does everyday and am thankful to be part of it! Even better news! I (and some of my colleagues at Blackpoint) am (are) hiring on my team and will be throughout the year so be sure to keep your eyes open and your resumes ready! Please go here to see all of our open jobs: https://lnkd.in/eGXXpJeh Did I mention we are remote-first? The good news keeps on coming! A few tips from me as a hiring manager during the interview process: ➡ Have you researched the company/product/team? -Some of my favorite people to interview already have good insight into our product, our service offering, and even some of my teammates 👀 The information is out there if you are passionate enough to search for it. ➡ What do you do when you don't know an answer to a question? -Tip: Don't make up an answer. An honest I don't know, followed by a here's my best assessment based on what I do know and also here is exactly how I would find the answer is a pretty good start. ➡ Can you relate the questions that are being asked of you to previous experience? -I love when candidates tie in previous work experience or even personal experience to help show that they not only understand the technical portions of the questions but the implementation as well. ➡ Don't bad-talk previous employers/coworkers/etc... -Not here for "toxic-positivity" however the interview is also not the best place to talk about how much you don't like your previous employer or co-workers...The interview is just as much about culture-fit as it is about technical-fit. ➡ Have some good questions for us at the end. -Some of our top candidates have some really good questions for us at the end of the interview regarding our product or maybe even about questions they may have missed during the interview and how they can improve. Remember I am looking for someone who is technically competent but also looking for people that I believe have the drive/passion/desire to continue to learn and get better everyday! Would love to hear from some other hiring managers on top tips from them regarding the interview process!

Hi guys I’d like to get connections with more people in tech. I’m a cybersecurity Analyst let’s connect Introduction to Defensive Security Offensive security focuses on one thing: breaking into systems. Breaking into systems might be achieved through exploiting bugs, abusing insecure setups, and taking advantage of unenforced access control policies, among other things. Red teams and penetration testers specialize in offensive security. Defensive security is somewhat the opposite of offensive security, as it is concerned with two main tasks: Preventing intrusions from occurring Detecting intrusions when they occur and responding properly Blue teams are part of the defensive security landscape.

Communications Strategist & Corporate Anthropologist for Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Risk Organizations
I rarely promote security awareness job postings because most of them demonstrate abusive levels of micromanaging & ignorant expectations about content (which is an output, not an outcome). This one is different. It’s full of business problems that you (as the expert) have the autonomy to tackle with your own approach (again, because you already know what the f*ck you’re doing & can think bigger picture than phishing simulations).
Executive Director | Head of Cybersecurity Learning @ JP Morgan Chase | Childhood Cancer Advocate 🎗️
We're hiring! I have an exciting opportunity to join the Global Cybersecurity Education & Awareness team at JPMC (located in Delaware). Please feel free to like, comment, and share for reach. Any questions, just message me. Thank you! #werehiring #cybersecurityawareness
