2024 Commission on National Defense Strategy Report In a time of escalating global threats and an increasingly volatile international landscape, the 2024 Commission on National Defense Strategy has unveiled a report of profound significance. Yet, despite the critical nature of its findings, the present administration has kept this vital information shrouded in silence, leaving the American people uninformed about the very real dangers we face. This report is not just another bureaucratic document; it is a call to action, a stark warning that our national security is at a crossroads. The Commission's findings highlight the rapid advances of near-peer competitors like China and Russia, who are not only expanding their military capabilities but also developing sophisticated strategies that could outmaneuver the United States in future conflicts. The report underscores the urgent need for a defense strategy that is adaptive, technologically superior, and deeply integrated with our allies. However, the administration's failure to communicate these realities to the public is more than just an oversight—it is a dereliction of duty. The consequences of this silence could be catastrophic. Without public awareness and support, there can be no consensus on the necessary investments in defense, no understanding of the sacrifices that may be required, and no preparedness for the challenges ahead. The lack of transparency has already started to erode trust in our government’s ability to protect us. As our adversaries grow stronger, the American people remain in the dark, unaware of the vulnerabilities that could be exploited. If this continues, we risk entering a conflict for which we are unprepared, with devastating consequences for our nation and the world. It is imperative that this report is brought into the light, that the American people are informed and engaged in the conversation about our national defense. The security of our nation depends on it. Only with informed citizens and a clear understanding of the threats we face can we forge the unity and resolve necessary to confront the challenges of the 21st century. The time to act is now, before it is too late. It
