GEMINI 2.0, IS REAL? Considering the impact of Gemini 2.0 in the real word like presented in that videos and considering the Occam Razor principle plus the very calm positive reaction of the market (remember that Google lost $150bln in one day after their unsatisfying conference and regained $50bln the day next but after all accusing a huge loss), considering all of these, which is your guess: 1. they staged the presentation (fraud) claiming results that they did not reached yet risking that their bluff will be discovered and their stock price would have fall down 2. purposely [1] presented the real capability of Gemini 2.0 in a way they could dismiss (plausible deniability) like a marketing presentation rather than a real product ready to be put on-line. If you choose the #2, then you have to accept that after the reactions received by governments and top lobbies, they decided to calm down the waters pretending that the videos were staged. If you choose the #1, then why the had published a blog page that shows how common people can repeat the experiment using static frames (images) to replicate and compare the results between Gemini 1.0 (running in bard) and Gemini 2.0? Microsoft and Apple have abruptly dropped their board observer seats at OpenAI... ...as antitrust investigations mount across Europe and the US. The sudden departure raises concerns about the tech giants' involvement in the AI startup, which has sparked major competition worries. Despite claims of 'significant progress' from OpenAI's new leadership, Microsoft cited a lack of necessity for its role on the board. Meanwhile, Apple had been expected to take an observer seat but will not do so. As regulators scrutinize investments in generative AI startups, these moves suggest a growing unease among tech giants about their involvement in the space. From the Financial Times: - Microsoft, which has invested $13bn in the maker of the generative AI chatbot ChatGPT, said in a letter to OpenAI that its withdrawal from its board role would be "effective immediately". - Apple had also been expected to take an observer role on OpenAI's board as part of a deal to integrate ChatGPT into the iPhone maker's devices, but would not do so, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter. The recent statement by Microsoft’s CEO, reaffirming their commitment to their partnership with OpenAI, underscores a growing concern: the immense power wielded by BIG tech companies. While their advancements in AI and technology are impressive, it raises critical questions about the balance of power, control, and efficiency against the broader interests of people and the planet. These corporations, with their vast resources and influence, have the capacity to shape not just markets but also social norms and even governance structures, often prioritizing efficiency and control. This can lead to a scenario where technological progress trumps ethical considerations and the welfare of the global community. In this light, it is imperative to advocate for stronger regulatory frameworks and greater accountability. Ensuring that the pursuit of technological advancement does not overshadow the need for sustainability, ethical AI use, and the protection of individual rights must be a priority
