#TGIF, Everybody!! Let's discuss the current state of British Robotics (no, not those ones).
I am on my way to London to sit down, learn, and talk with some of the top minds in #robotics in the UK. Over the coming days, I will get to see all of their cool research and what they are doing to raise the country's robot density, which is the lowest amongst the G7 countries and is actually below the world average for robots to workers.
In this week's Six Degrees of Robotics column, I delve into the unique state of robotics in Britain. On one hand, we have researchers that are not just putting out good, but some of the best robotics research around, a testament to the country's potential in this field. But then we look at the lack of robotics in various industries compared to other countries and the same industry.
It is going to be a fun time, but it will also be a head-scratcher, as we try to figure out what is needed to start moving the UK forward with robotics. The place that brought us the Industrial Revolution has all the pieces to lead the next Robot Revolution. I hope to provide a helping hand where I can.
