Bidirectional home/vehicle charging is super interesting and makes the whole idea of a home battery and full EV much more appealing to me. I don't know how much of installing batteries for home backup is the batteries ... and how much is the electrical infrastructure (inverter, transfer switch) to support it. Also, there's the question of capacity ... can you get enough Ah out of your vehicle compared to a couple of battery packs hung on the garage wall. (The SunRun site is devoid of technical details.)
This idea has a lot of initial appeal (you've already got a juiced up truck, use it to power your house) ... but I wonder if it is practical from an engineering or economics viewpoint.
I wish Texas would fix its grid, so at least in this state, we wouldn't even need to consider this.
