About 40% of new cancer cases among adults ages 30 and older in the United States — and nearly half of deaths — could be attributed to preventable risk factors, according to a new study from the American Cancer Society. Smoking was the leading risk factor by far, contributing to nearly 1 in 5 cancer cases and nearly a third of cancer deaths. Other key risk factors included excess body weight, alcohol consumption, physical inactivity, diet and infections such as HPV. https://cnn.it/3Lp009K

We can only control physical inactivity in schools through P.E. Outside of that we have no control of adults! Smoking and alcohol will not be banned!

Smoking is the main cause for Lung Cancer which is the deadliest cancer and causes maximum number of cancer deaths. Apart from cancers smoking can cause many heart issues as well. Efforts to reduce smoking exposure can go long way in controlling health conditions. Sweden can be an interesting example to look at.
