In 1998, we wrote: "This past century, accelerated technology development from wartime and postwar research produced commercial aviation, radar, computer chips, lasers and the Internet, among other things. Researching, developing and commercializing carbon-free primary power technologies capable of 10–30 TW by the mid-twenty-first century could require efforts, perhaps international, pursued with the urgency of the Manhattan Project or the Apollo space programme. The roles of governments and market entrepreneurs in the eventual deployment of such technologies need to be considered more comprehensively than we can do here. But the potentially adverse effect of humanity on the Earth's climate could well stimulate new industries in the twenty-first century, as did the Second World War and the ‘cold war’ in this century." (Hoffert et al., Nature, 1998) This remains as true today as it ever was. https://lnkd.in/gZfngZ3W

Highlight from The 21st International Conference on Nucleation and Atmospheric Aerosols #ICNAA2023 ⭐ A new airborne research facility observes sensitivity of cumulus cloud microphysical properties to aerosol regime over the great barrier – this new research from Diana C. Hernandez Jaramillo and colleagues is available to read now in #ESATMOS Find out more about their work below which was presented at The 21st International Conference on Nucleation and Atmospheric Aerosols! 👇 The team established a new airborne research platform, designed primarily for Marine Cloud Brightening (MCB) field studies but with broader applicability across diverse airborne research domains. This platform, comprising a Cessna 337 aircraft was outfitted with a comprehensive suite of meteorological, aerosol, and cloud microphysical instrumentation normally only found on much larger aircrafts. Their results demonstrate the practical utility of the new research aircraft through a focused case study, laying the groundwork for future scientific investigations of aerosol–cloud interactions. Check out the full #OpenAccess paper to find out more ➡ https://lnkd.in/e3x9WH-4 👀 The next ICNAA conference will be held in Vienna from August 24-29 2025 – keep up to date with all the updates on the website: https://lnkd.in/evRK78ZK

Developer, instrumenting the interstellar future building on a High Fidelity Computational Architecture
I was holding this monologue about the Governing Forces now (it's not the US) but, it does make sense that these are sorted for attesting the projected field in a *scheduled order*, expressing to the total set of Quantum Potential Kinetics 🙃 While the industry awaits Quantum Phenomena based Computing, with risk of Error Failure its probalistic and likely. But Entanglement is only that and insecure, OfCourse, no problem, other physics are profound++ anyone: how about >Hoverboard< >teleportation< The Implications of teleportation alone, rest assure, I'll write a letter to the xo about this. To make a shortcut we do not name this entanglement it is to some understanding (NIST) about what is fundamentally unbreakable. We can also steer future spacecraft no need to swing around

Great insights on the growing challenge for Earth Observation satellite operators with the potential repurposing of X-band spectrum for 6G. X-band is critical for remote sensing, and it's crucial that we continue the conversation to safeguard EO capabilities.
Yesterday's Payload Polaris issue highlighted a critical challenge facing Earth Observation (EO) satellite operators: the potential identification of X-band spectrum for the 6G mobile telecom services. X-band is vital for remote sensing data downlink, a lifeline to the EO sector - we appreciate Polaris and Jacqueline Feldscher for bringing this under the spotlight and for sharing the white paper that Leaf Space has been working with major sector players (Airbus Defence and Space, ICEYE, KSAT – Kongsberg Satellite Services, Planet, Spire, and Umbra among others). If you want to learn more about this, or would like to join this advocacy effort, feel free to contact me! https://lnkd.in/dUvpU7Db
