The clock is ticking in our effort to make the CA Clean Cars for All program even better by steering #electricvehicle incentives to households that most burdened by the cost of gasoline and the pollution from older, dirtier cars. AB 2401, authored by Assemblyman Phil Ting, is a wise and sensible policy that would accelerate pollution cuts, save Californians more $, and get more gasoline-burdened drivers behind the wheel of an EV. It passed unanimously through the CA Assembly and the key Senate committees and is supported by a wide array of stakeholders. But we only have 10 days to pass the full Senate and get it to the Office of California Governor Gavin Newsom's desk. Let's hope that we can get it across the finish line by Aug. 31 and signed by the Governor. Coltura Coalition for Clean Air The Greenlining Institute Union of Concerned Scientists, Valley CAN
Great news 🥳👏 A key bill to update California’s Clean Cars 4 All program, making it more effective and equitable, just passed its final Senate committee and is now headed for a full Senate vote! AB 2401 will help the most gasoline-burdened drivers in low-income communities access EVs and save money on fuel costs. "AB 2401 will cut climate and air pollution faster while ensuring the benefits of these programs lift up communities most in need,” said Janelle London, our co-executive director. https://lnkd.in/gSn4eUGP
