This Pride Month, we’re kicking off a “Summer of Joy” – a theme chosen by our Pride Inclusivity Employee Resource Group and series of events planned to celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Beyond Pride Month, we believe in creating safe spaces and a welcoming workplace 365 days of the year. Building a better, more inclusive future starts with how we treat one another, every day. That’s the reason behind Coast Capital’s Inclusion Code, a code of conduct proudly displayed in each of our 45 branches. It clearly conveys our commitment to inclusion and that we have no tolerance for hate or discrimination. Standing in allyship and breaking down barriers for the 2SLGTBQIA+ community, including transgender and gender non-conforming individuals, is more important than ever. Disclosing the Progress in Diversity and Inclusion of an organization publicly can be beneficial. It gives a positive trend among the public, it doesn't matter whether the goal achievement is 1% only. This will show the positive transparency of an organization regarding it's commitment towards the diversity and Inclusion and will open couple of idea generation doors to fulfil the goals. And this shows the organization's seriousness towards Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. #diversity #inclusion #equity

This week is National Inclusion Week, and the theme this year is 'Impact Matters', focusing on analysing and assessing the impact that your Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives have on your workplace, moving beyond tokenism and box ticking, and implementing change through action. This means making sure you have a company strategy to embed inclusion, and a policy which is modelled through the business from the top down. The impact of your strategies and policies should be assessed through internal monitoring, benchmarking against other organisations, and employee feedback.
