"The Lifestyle Locum Doctor" | Coaching 100 clinicians from inception to independence and sharing everything about the process.
To all my nurses, doctors, PAs, etc: after all your years of working hard, are you satisfied with your Vacation scheduling? Year after year, one of the most challenging parts of working as a healthcare clinician is using all of the time-off that you have allowed by your contract. Sometimes it feels like you're competing with your co-workers just to schedule vacations or personal time. I know that I've missed my fair share of very important family functions, and I regret missing the ones for and with people who, sadly, are no longer with us. Do you really enjoy leaving the party early or missing it all together? How long are you willing to trade your time with friends and family for your career? Is 10 years enough? How about 15 or 20? Why not wait until you're 55+ to scale back and the entire previous generation is dead or dying? Sigh. You could make a change. "How long are you willing to trade your time with friends and family for your career?" There are other ways.

In the bustling world of healthcare, networking isn’t just a buzzword; it’s a lifeline. As a nurse, connecting with peers, mentors, and industry leaders opens doors to invaluable opportunities. Here’s why networking matters: Knowledge Exchange: Conversations with fellow nurses provide insights, best practices, and fresh perspectives. Whether it’s a conference, a virtual meetup, or a casual chat over coffee, these interactions enrich your professional toolkit. Career Pathways: Networking introduces you to potential employers, recruiters, and job openings. A chance encounter at a nursing symposium might lead to your dream position. Remember, it’s not just about who you know; it’s about who knows you. Support System: Nursing can be emotionally demanding. Building a network ensures you have a support system during challenging times. From celebrating victories to navigating tough cases, your network becomes your lifeline. #NurseNetworking #ProfessionalConnections #NurseCollaboration #CareerAdvancement #NurseCommunity #NetworkingJourney #NurseMentorship #NurseAlliance #NurseSupport #NurseSuccess
