🐚 Fun Facts About Hermit Crabs 🦀 Do you know that hermit crabs aren’t born with their own shell and they don't have a backbone? True, yet being spineless in the invertebrate world doesn't mean you're weak. Hermit crabs are resourceful and find empty shells to protect their bodies from predators. As they grow, they shed their exoskeletons (outside skeletons) and search for bigger shells to keep themselves safe. Pretty smart.🐚 Bring your family, friends and visitors to the Coastal Discovery Museum and meet hermit crabs and other fascinating marine creatures during Life Under the Sea, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 2 to 4 pm, in our air-conditioned Discovery Lab. 🌊 Life Under the Sea is perfect for kids ages 4 and up (must be accompanied by an adult). Admission is $5 per person. Sign up in advance by calling 843-689-6767 or visiting: https://ow.ly/77If50Ski6h #LifeUnderTheSea #CoastalDiscoveryMuseum #HHI #HiltonHeadIsland #HoneyHorn #FamilyFun #MarineLife #DiscoveryLab #SummerActivities
