My favourite portion of a muffin is the muffin top, that’s why I adore bakery-style muffins. Breaking off that huge, crispy muffin top and taking that first bite is heavenly. As a kid, we all have been guilty of eating only the top portion of the muffins. I still remember how mad my mom used to be 😅 as she thought it was so wasteful. This crispy muffin with a choco-chip overload with a soft and buttery interior is the perfect way to start the morning. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠! Warm and homely was my focus word when styling this chocolaty delight 😍. The muffins were served in a circular aesthetic plate with polka dots. To elevate the composition 👌 and create a feeling that it's ready to be eaten, we used brown napkins. Styling breakfast items can be challenging. The muffin had a beautiful 💯 brown hue to it. However, browns can tend to look dull 😑 on their own. That's why I decided to go ahead with elements that generally would accompany a breakfast. You could find milk, orange juice, honey and eggs 🥚 in the backdrop. This not only added a bit of colour 😇 to the frame but also elevated the composition adding a story to it. It beautifully 😍 captured the essence of a muffin served right from the oven waiting to be relished 😋. Indeed life is better with a cuppa and muffin! New product: Savinelli Made Smooth Prince Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously produced high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist. As a disclaimer, this pipe was certainly made by Savinelli, as it features the Savinelli emblem in its nomenclature, but unless the rest of the stamping has worn off, this may be one of their seconds. There are a couple of natural imperfections in the grain, so that would make sense. This is, however, nothing to say that the pipe looks bad or that it won’t smoke well. Savinelli has often sold pipes under various sub-brands and seconds lines that simply didn’t quite fit their exacting aesthetic standards. The pipe itself is a traditional prince, with a very Italian and very natural strawberry-blonde stain. Whatever its provenance, it’ll be a solid smoker. The condition is great. New product: Ichi Kitahara 2016 Smooth Apple w/ Bamboo Handmade Briar Pipe, Unsmoked Ichi Kitahara is a Japanese pipe-maker, but he’s also something of a renaissance man. He is classically trained in fine art; he has spent time as a high-end jeweler and silversmith; he has also worked as an Itame, the Japanese name for a particularly skilled sushi chef; and last, but not least, he is an artisan maker of high-grade pipes. This he originally learned as an apprentice of Japanese master Hiroyuki Tokutomi, before evolving into a master in his own right, with his own, distinct style. This Ichi from 2016 is ostensibly a very simple pipe. It is an apple of around group 4 size, with a two-knuckle bamboo extension and a flared ebonite stem. It is lightweight, portable, and likely a comfortable clencher for experienced smokers. But it’s also pretty much perfect. The bowl has 360 degrees of flame grain, the stummel and bamboo have been shaped so as to merge seamlessly with one another, and there’s a consistent ring of bare plateau on the rim, sandwiched between the bowl exterior and the beveled lip of the rim. There might be plenty of pipe makers that could make a pipe like this one, but there are very few that could make this pipe. This Ichi is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating.
