#BuildingAct2004 Section 102 of the Building Act 2004 (1) A building consent authority must issue a compliance schedule if— (a) the compliance schedule, or an amended compliance schedule, is required as a result of building work; and (b) the building consent authority is satisfied, on reasonable grounds, that the specified systems for the building are capable of performing to the performance standards for those systems. (2) A compliance schedule that is issued under subsection (1) must be issued with the relevant code compliance certificate or consent completion certificate. (3) A territorial authority must issue a compliance schedule on an application under section 102A if the territorial authority is satisfied, on reasonable grounds, that the specified systems for the building are capable of performing to the performance standards for those systems. This implies that a compliance schedule and compliance schedule statement might accompany the CPU to guarantee that the designated systems are being upheld, documented, inspected, and re-evaluated upon the issuance of the code compliance certificate where the section 102 test is met. A draft (or interim) compliance schedule is particularly useful when a CPU is issued (if a full/final compliance schedule is not issued under section 102). The CPU can be conditioned to require the specified systems to be inspected, maintained and records kept, in the interim, in accordance with the draft compliance schedule until such time that the final compliance schedule can be issued with the CCC.

Yesterday, I encountered an issue with a background job causing significant server slowdowns. After investigating, I discovered that creating a massive number of tasks (about 100,000), each generating images, placed a heavy load on the CPU and RAM. Since this process doesn't need to be extremely fast, I initially tried making it synchronous, but it became painfully slow. To address this, I implemented a technique where tasks are batched into groups of 100. Each batch is awaited before processing the next one. This approach greatly reduced the CPU load and improved overall performance. I wanted to share this technique and seek your insights on better ways to handle such situations. Additionally, I'm aware of methods to limit the number of concurrent tasks, which I believe could help. However, I'm concerned about whether it still creates a stack for each task simultaneously, potentially burdening memory. Here's the batching code I used:
