It's not always about new product. I just watched a short documentary by VOLIX. Group about the happening 3rd wave coffee carts trend in Indonesia. It's amazing how they make it in the Indonesian (full of giants) coffee industry. Watching the documentary further, we can see how innovation is not just about the product. Product is just 1 of the 7 Ps in the marketing mix. Innovation could happen anywhere in the production, distribution, and even marketing. And any new brand will be able to compete with other big names in the industry if the new brand has Unique Selling Points (USP).
