Founder/Helping Businesses Next Level Hiring, Retention, and Transition Plans/Up-leveling Leadership/Developing Aligned Company Cultures
If you are thinking about hiring or in the process of hiring, think on this... Hiring is not about duplicating yourself. It's about discovering individuals who bring their own expertise and drive to elevate your company's unique culture and goals. Yes, their values should align with yours. But they should not be another YOU. They should be a compliment to you. Hire the person smarter than you in all areas. Than lead them well. Hold the vision. And watch your company and team soar. And that my friends is the secret to sustainable growth and true scaling. The right people, in the right roles, doing it better than you do. Want to know how to do that? I have some free resources I would be happy to share. Comment or DM me "Ready to Soar" and I will send them your way. #leadwell #hirebetter #happyhires #leadership #hiringprocess #havestrategy

I felt weight on my shoulder. Then my boss spoke: “You are worthy to get the best. The person you need is out there. Go and recruit them.” Wow! My work counts and he is right behind me. He wants me to have the best people in my team. Business leaders - you are no different – your work counts. The best team members are vital for your success. And you can have them… if you commit to getting them. How often have you settled for “good-enough” to fill a role? How were the results? I ‘m wondering how many people struggle with this. Do you give yourself permission to recruit the best? What blocks you from doing recruitment in a way that you have some certainty you have found the best the market has? #recruitmentmindset #teamsuccess #recruitmentsuccess

Hiring isn’t just about finding the most qualified person—it's about identifying potential. Look for candidates with a growth mindset and the ability to adapt. Once they’re on board, retention is key. Foster a culture where employees see purpose in their work, have opportunities to grow, and feel valued. Regular feedback and recognition go a long way. Remember, your people are your greatest asset. Invest in them, and they’ll invest in you. #Hiring #TalentRetention #Leadership

You never know where you'll find great talent. Don't be quick to dismiss someone's potential. We've all been guilty of taking shortcuts and judging someone on the job they hold today, where they went to school, where they live, and lots of other things too. Just... don't. Slow down. Open your mind. Listen. Observe. Ask questions to learn, not to confirm snap judgments. Some of the best leaders I know have made exceptional non-obvious hires by being great at this. #Leadership #TalentAcquisition #Recruitment #Recruiting

In the quest for building a high-performing team, many leaders and hiring managers fall into the trap of searching for the "perfect candidate." This often involves rigidly adhering to a checklist of qualifications and experiences, believing that the ideal candidate must tick every box. However, this approach overlooks the crucial elements that truly drive team success: personality, potential, and cultural fit. #Hiring #TalentAcquisition #TeamBuilding #Leadership #GrowthMindset

Subconsciously, we all tend to gravitate towards people who are similar to ourselves. This so-called similarity bias can be related to appearance, background, personality, and a range of other areas. While it’s normal and something we all do, I think it’s important to be aware of it when hiring. Because when you’re looking for new people, especially leaders, you want to ensure a good mix of people rather than building a leadership team comprised of ‘mini-mes’. One of the ways you can avoid similarity bias is to use different hiring methods. For example, if you always hire the same way on LinkedIn, you’re more likely to fall into the habit of hiring similar people. Try mixing it up from time to time. Building a team isn't just about gathering individual stars; it's about creating a constellation that shines together. Simon Sinek's perspective on valuing trust over sheer performance resonates with the core values we hold at IOOGO. We strive for a culture where integrity and teamwork are paramount because they are the bedrock of sustainable success. Trust is the glue that binds individual prowess into collective brilliance. #TeamBuilding #Culture #IntegrityInLeadership
High-Performing Teams We often focus on recruiting individual superstars when building teams. But superstars alone do not make a dream team. In this video, Simon Sinek shows a matrix on performance vs. trust. No one wants low trust, low performers. Surprisingly, high trust, even with lower performance, is preferred over toxic high performers with low trust. Trust indicates reliability, integrity, and character. Unlike quantifiable metrics of individual performance, trust is harder to assess. Yet trust forms the foundation for teams to thrive through resilience. With trust, teams become more than the sum of individual talents. Evaluating character requires nuance - reference checks, interviews on values fit, and partners who understand your culture. But this focus enables high confidence in your team. Ultimately, hiring for attitude and character, not just skills, allows discovering those who will do what's right for the team. That's the secret ingredient. #Performance #Teamwork #Management #Leadership
