Most clients don't care where you work. With a few exceptions, most clients don't even care what firm an attorney is at. Clients care about the quality of the legal product and the results they get. And if they find an attorney who delivers those? They'll generally follow that attorney where they go, regardless of the name on the shingle. This isn't a knock on BigLaw. Contrary to that assumption, there are a lot of positives to being in a big firm. Too many to list. But there are a lot of pros regarding smaller firms too. Gone are the days when you couldn't do sophisticated work on your own or in a small to mid-sized law firm (distributed, traditional brick and mortar, whatever the format of the firm). And yet attorneys are naturally risk averse. As a result, I often talk to attorneys who are afraid that their clients won't follow them if they take the leap to a place that could make them happier (whether another big firm, a smaller firm, or starting their own firm). Guess what? The clients almost always follow. So what's my advice to attorneys? Regardless of whether it's BigLaw or a boutique or regional firm, do what makes you happy. Be someplace that allows you to deliver high-quality work while maintaining a lifestyle that fulfills you, regardless of the name on the shingle. #LateralRecruitment #Leadership #LawFirmManagement

Well done to anyone that guessed! It's actually Haynes and Boone, LLP known as Haynes Boone, with "Haynes" representing the Haynes Manual, and "Boone" referring to Daniel Boone, the legendary US frontiersman.
