As a clinic working with Cofertility, your patients will be able to match with our hundreds of pre-qualified egg donors. Through our unique egg sharing model, egg donors do not receive any cash compensation as part of their donation. Instead, they undergo a split cycle where they donate half of the eggs retrieved and then freeze and store the other half for up to 10 years for free. This model offers intended parents an option that aligns with their values and helps both parties take meaningful steps toward their family-building goals. ▪ Quickly match intended parents with a qualified egg donor: Each intended parent has their distinct preferences and requirements. With our proven track record of attracting diverse egg donors, we can help assist your clinic in meeting the needs of a wider spectrum of intended parents. ▪ All cycles are managed in accordance with your existing clinic protocols: We’ll have a dedicated onboarding session to document any clinic-specific protocols or SOPs. Everything from donor screening to travel will be done in complete alignment with your standard clinical, operational, and financial processes. ▪ Transparent and responsive team of Member Advocates: Throughout the cycle, our team of Member Advocates will offer administrative and emotional guidance to the donor and intended parent and serve as a liaison between both parties and the clinic. Cofertility for Intended Parents At Cofertility, we’ve designed our egg sharing programs to provide intended parents with value-aligned choices and establish a mutually beneficial model that honors both the egg donor and the recipient(s). Instead of cash compensation, our donors receive accessible egg freezing, retaining half of the eggs retrieved when they donate the other half to your family. ✨ Benefits of Egg Sharing: 1️⃣ Ethical and Human-Centered - In a recent Harvard study, it was revealed that 62% of donor-conceived adults viewed the exchange of money for donor gametes as ethically problematic, with 41% expressing discomfort regarding the monetary aspect of their conception. If cash compensation doesn't align with your values, egg sharing offers a compelling alternative that can eliminate discomfort and ethical concerns associated with treating eggs as commodities. 2️⃣ Shared outcomes - Instead of financial gain, our donors are motivated by a deeper desire to help others while also taking proactive steps toward their own reproductive future. They are invested in helping you, but also in achieving their own fertility goals. 3️⃣ Greater Donor Diversity - The shortage of qualified egg donors, particularly among women of color, poses a significant challenge for diverse intended parents seeking a genetic match. The unique structure of egg-sharing programs removes barriers and fosters a welcoming environment for women of all races and ethnicities. 4️⃣ A Win-Win Situation - Egg sharing helps intended parents grow their families while simultaneously empowering women by expanding their reproductive choices and increasing access to fertility preservation. Research indicates that egg sharing donors consistently report higher levels of satisfaction and positive experiences, underscoring the transformative impact of this approach on donor well-being. While egg sharing isn’t right for everyone, we believe everyone who wants to be a parent has the right to do so. Egg sharing offers not only intended parents additional pathways to parenthood but donors the ability to grow their future family on their own terms. It's #WorldPreeclampsiaDay. Pre-eclampsia is a condition that can affect pregnant women or birthing people during, or soon after, pregnancy. It's a combination of high blood pressure and often protein in your wee, or problems with the kidneys or liver. Currently, pre-eclampsia can only be cured by delivering the baby and the placenta. And, there's no guaranteed way to prevent it. Here at Tommy's, we're working to change this. That's why our researchers are finding ways to predict, prevent and treat pre-eclampsia. Last year, our researchers found giving progesterone in early pregnancy could reduce the risk of developing pre-eclampsia. The review showed women who were prescribed a vaginal progesterone treatment in the first trimester of pregnancy were 39% less likely to the condition: https://bit.ly/3MAaZhV In early 2024, our researchers also found they could identify someone's risk of developing pre-eclampsia using a single blood test, as opposed to more than one. This makes the test more accessible to women and birthing people around the world: https://bit.ly/3yvA7lA And, Tommy's researchers are now looking into whether using a specific drug could help relax blood vessels and treat pre-eclampsia: https://bit.ly/4aq9AU4 As a charity, our research is entirely funded by generous donations. It's thanks to you we're able to fund projects like this, to help make pregnancy and birth safe - for everyone.

“This important study funded by Tommy’s is a significant and positive step forwards in the drive to reduce the harm caused by pre-eclampsia." - Kath Abrahams, Chief Executive. New research from our team, led by Prof Andy Shennan, has shown a single blood test can help identify pre-eclampsia risk and should be rolled out more widely. Pre-eclampsia is a condition affecting some women and birthing people during, and soon after, pregnancy. It can cause high blood pressure or lead to complications like premature birth, liver or kidney failure. Our research found testing just once for placental growth factor (PlGF) was enough to identify those most at risk of pre-eclampsia, so extra support and monitoring can be offered early in their pregnancy. In the latest PARROT-2 trial, also funded by us, the team found testing for PIGF more than once during pregnancy isn't required. These new findings mean this simple test can be easily rolled out in many different healthcare settings, meaning more women and birthing people at risk can receive the exact support they need, at the right time. Here at Tommy's, we're committed to funding the research breakthroughs that change lives. But we rely entirely on voluntary donations, so we can't do this without your generous support. Together, our researchers will continue to work hard finding the tests and treatments that make pregnancy and birth safe - for everyone.
