We're sharing a delicious recipe for coffee liqueur that you can easily make at home, of course using your favourite #Carnivalcoffeeroaster beans. ☕️🍹 Homemade Coffee Liqueur Recipe: Ingredients: 1 cup #Carnivalcoffeeroaster coffee beans, freshly ground 1 1/2 cups water 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise 2 cups vodka Instructions: Brew the coffee beans with the water and allow it to cool. In a medium saucepan, combine the brewed coffee and sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely, stirring occasionally. Add the split vanilla bean and simmer for 10 minutes to infuse the flavour. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool. Once cool, strain the mixture into a glass jar. Add vodka to the jar and stir well. Seal the jar and let it sit for at least 1 week, shaking the jar gently every day. After a week, strain the liqueur again and transfer it to a clean bottle. The secret to the best tasting second cup of tea, is to squeeze every last drop of brew out the first infusion. If you pour yourself a cup of tea and leave some in the pot, the tea leaves will continue to infuse. The liquor will become stronger, the tea will taste over brewed (stewed, as my gran would’ve called it), and it’ll likely be very bitter. So my tip for getting the best tasting second cup from your tea leaves is to brew only enough to fill your cup first time around. Then, when you’re ready for your second cup, add fresh hot water and brew. Bonus tip: let the leaves steep an extra 30 seconds to release more aroma and flavour.

Cold Brew Coffee Recipe Ingredients: ·  1 cup coarsely ground coffee beans ·  4 cups cold, filtered water Instructions: 1. Place the coarsely ground coffee in a glass container (a mason jar works well). 2. Add the cold, filtered water and stir gently to wet all the grounds. 3. Cover the container with plastic wrap or a lid. 4. Let it sit at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours. 5. Taste occasionally and discard the grounds when the coffee reaches your desired strength. 6. Strain the coffee through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into another container. 7.  Store the strained cold brew coffee in the fridge.
