Coffee Tip of the Week - Grind at The Correct Coarseness Different brewing methods require different grind sizes to make great coffee. But how do you know if you’re using the right size? There are two really easy ways to tell: time, and taste. Additionally, if a coffee tastes too acidic and sour it usually means the grind was too coarse, and if it tastes too bitter, it means the grind was too fine. Generally speaking, espresso requires a fine grind, pour-overs and AeroPress require a medium grind, and French Presses require a coarse grind. Adjusting your grind setting to time and taste will bring you one step closer to delicious coffee at home. That’s our tip of the week - Cheers! #altruisticjoe #coffee #coffeetime #coffeeshop #espresso #barista #coffeelovers #coffeegram #specialtycoffee #coffeecompany #smallbusiness #tipsandtricks #coffeetips

Coffee Tip of the Week - Grind Your Beans Just Before Using Grinding coffee beans just before brewing is key to a better-tasting cup for a few reasons. Firstly, freshly ground beans release more of their natural oils and flavorful compounds, enriching the aroma and taste. Secondly, grinding exposes more surface area of the beans to the water, facilitating a more thorough extraction of flavors during brewing. Thirdly, pre-ground coffee can quickly lose its freshness due to oxidation, resulting in a less vibrant flavor. Lastly, the ability to adjust the grind size right before brewing allows for precise control over the brewing process, leading to a more nuanced and enjoyable coffee experience. That’s our tip of the week - Cheers! #altruisticjoe #coffee #coffeetime #coffeeshop #espresso #barista #coffeelovers #coffeegram #specialtycoffee #coffeecompany #smallbusiness #tipsandtricks #coffeetips
