Did you know that while 3D printing is a manufacturing method that is rapidly growing in popularity due to it’s cost effective and highly customizable nature, many of the materials used in 3D printing, especially plastics, are not recyclable and therefore can lead to long-term environmental consequences? At Upcyx, we have created a 3D printing filament that combines cannabis waste and other natural fibers to form a durable and fully compostable hemp-based 3D printing solution. 🧵🌱 Check out these prototypes of items we 3D printed using our hemp-based filament! If you are a licensed cannabis producer - your trash is our treasure. If you support our mission of turning waste into wonder and want to see your cannabis waste get upcycled into sustainable packaging solutions then we want to work with you! Don’t hesitate to send us a message or email hello@upcyx.com to learn more. 🌎♻️ #cannabispackaging #sustainablepackaging #compostable #upcyx #upcycling #homecompostable #3dprinting #compostablefilament

Turn plastic waste into opportunity with the Filabot Reclaimer! This machine is not just a tool but a testament to our commitment to reducing plastic waste in 3D printing. https://lnkd.in/eMrNWUSH This unit has a two-stage breakdown process. The first stage, the Shredder, breaks down large chunks of plastics into smaller pieces, from there the broken-down chunks are fed into the Granulator which breaks the pieces down to the final extrudable size. Why It Matters: Eco-Friendly: Significantly reduces plastic waste. Cost-Effective: Turns waste into a valuable resource for further 3D printing. 🗣️ Let's Discuss How have you incorporated sustainable practices in your 3D printing ventures? #SustainabilityIn3DPrinting #FilabotReclaimer #Innovation #PlasticWasteReduction #EcoFriendlyPrinting

Successful proof of concept: voxeljet AG and ParaStruct have successfully tested the 3D printing of recyclable waste materials from the construction industry! ♻️ They use Ecomould, a material made from biogenic production waste and a mineral binder, to produce moulded parts. 💡 This enables the recycling of unused materials and resources such as wood flour or sawdust. This guarantees potential savings and higher profitability for companies. 🌍 🔄 Ecomould also has a lower CO2 footprint than conventional moulds. After their lifetime, the moulds can be recycled, which leads to a further reduction in the CO2 footprint. Continuum Powders Shoots to Cut Recycled Metal 3D Printing Carbon Footprint to Zero ✍️ By: Michael Molitch-Hou > https://lnkd.in/e_7E3-N7 According to Additive Manufacturing Research (AMR), metal 3D printing materials were valued at $920 million in 2023. However, only a very small percentage of that sector is actually focused on generating quality powders from recycled metals. This is likely to change as resource scarcity, high prices, and environmental impact drive manufacturers toward sustainable alternatives. Among the firms leading this nascent trend is Continuum Powders (a MolyWorks Materials Corporation company). • #3Dprinting • #AdditiveManufacturing • #technology • #innovation • tuan@tranpham.com • #tranpham • www.tranpham.com • Like 👍 what you see ► Repost ♻️, or Hit the Bell 🔔 to follow me.
