NEW podcast episode is LIVE! . As pediatric therapists, we’re often asked about certain toddler behaviors - Is this ‘normal’? Should I be concerned about _____? Does my toddler have ADHD? . Today, we’re chatting about what is considered ‘normal’ in toddlerhood - what you can expect from your toddler and what are some signs that there might be some underlying challenges. . First, we dive into common things that toddlers go through, like struggling with a new event and pushing back during daily routines. . Then we dive into what it looks like for a toddler to have specific sensory processing challenges and what we might see if a toddler is showing signs of ADHD. . And finally we finish the conversation with what you can do! . Listen here - https://buff.ly/3IR5WHA . Be sure to subscribe to the All Things Sensory Podcast so you never miss a new episode 😍 . . . #toddler #toddlerlife #toddlerhood #ot4kids #pediatricot #ADHD #SPD

Empowering mission-driven ADHD Founders & Executives | Shatter your inner bottlenecks | MA Educational Leadership & Management | Book your 1:1 ADHD Coaching Intro Call 👇
When a book makes you jump for joy and nearly spill the breakfast coffee all over it, because you got frickin’ research on your side validating EVERYTHING you believe in about empowering 🧠ADHDers: 👉it’s not about fixing the person. It’s all about looking for barriers in the system. 👉Pathologizing language around ADHD makes it hard to even consider help beyond the medical lens 👉We don’t have to wait for a diagnosis to think about how we can smash barriers to support the individual 👉A diagnosis just focusing on your deficits and what you can’t do has a long term DAMAGING impact on your self-esteem. But the truth is: We are DIFFERENT. Not deficient! One more thing: Finally a book with BIG sans serif font that actually makes it accessible for me. Boom 💥 #ADHD #ADHDSupport

Digital transformation consultant with an edge in cyber & information security and DORA/NIS2 transformations as well as a passion for putting the spotlight on diversity & inclusion matters
Finally this amazing book by Lotta Borg Skoglund that for real changed my life has been released in English! A must read for everyone living with a woman/girl with ADHD and for those ladies who might wonder why you never manage to regulate yourself, sort out simple tasks in your everyday life, find balance in sleep, exercise, work and food, deal with impulsivity and restlessness. It might be a neurodiversity diagnosis that make it hard for you to change bahaviours and take control of your life…. AND for those who think there is only one type of ADHD, the ”loud and outgoing boys in the schoolroom” version… this book will help you to widen your perspectives. ADHD comes in many shapes and forms and we need to spread this knowledge to more people to remove stigma as well as increasing the level of understanding and compassion for other people’s struggles. As well as to recognise that this is a disability and people with a diagnosis are entitled to proper support and adjustments from their employer to function at work. (And yes, they are protected by the law of discrimination and cannot just be dismissed from their work if there are issues…! The employer has an obligation to support to make it work.) #adhd #neurodiversity

💙 Today is the last day of National Autism Acceptance Month. We probably don’t need to tell you that the stigma associated with autism is incredibly detrimental. However, it stems from a general misunderstanding of what autism is, and an inaccurate interpretation of the visible traits of autism. We can’t change the stigma until we change the way autism is understood and perceived. Our recent blog explains the importance of destigmatizing autism, highlights the many ways that autism brings beauty into our world, and shares advice for making the world a more accepting and accessible place for children with autism – https://bit.ly/4bbZSp6 #Autism #NationalAutismAcceptanceMonth #DevelopmentalPediatrics #OrchidPediatrics
