Today, we're proud to share the news of our $10 million seed raise, led by Rethink Impact, LP. Nearly one in ten American children have ADHD, impacting their relationships, self-confidence, and performance at school. Unfortunately, 80% of children with ADHD don’t have access to the breadth or quality of care recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics, and most families wait over a year and pay $3,000 or more out of pocket to get access to ADHD treatment. Clarity Pediatrics makes pediatric ADHD care 10x more accessible and 20x more affordable: families have access to next-day appointments, including for ADHD diagnostic screening and medication-related services, and pay an average co-pay of $15 per session. This investment supports Clarity Pediatrics' launch of new clinical service lines, further development of our innovative care platform, and geographic expansion. We're grateful to Maverick Capital, Homebrew, January Ventures, VamosVentures, Alumni Ventures and City Light Capital for their participation in this round and their ongoing commitment to investing in pediatric care innovation for the benefit of all families. https://lnkd.in/eHagwFQ2 #adhd #pediatrics #chroniccare #claritypediatrics #digitalhealth #healthtech #startup #funding #seedraise #venturecapital

♾️The Whole Family Approachᵀᴹ for autism ☆ Providing a space for you to feel SEEN. HEARD. SUPPORTED. // Child psychologist & parental coach for autistic children
too many times parents share with me that their pediatrician told them that their daughter is “too social” to be autistic. initially they listen because they TRUST you, but when they cannot ignore their intuition any longer, they do their own research to find me. parents’ intuition is stronger than we as professionals often give them credit for (collectively this needs to change!). some important considerations to keep in mind about girls >> girls are more likely to mask their traits. >> autism often presents as anxiety in girls. >> it is important that use neurotypical girls as the reference. the “standard” presentation which has largely been shaped by boys. autism traits manifest differently in girls. >> although boys are over 4x more likely to be diagnosed with autism than girls, there is emerging evidence this is largely related to underdiagnosis of girls and not a true prevalence rate. ongoing education for pediatric providers and parents on my page @the.dr.tay. follow for continued learning! #autismingirls #autismacceptance #autismsupport #pediatrics #pediatricnursepractitioner #physiciansassistant #pediatriciansofinstagram #autismgirls . . . Autistic children have two core differences, and it's crucial to provide them with the right support. 👇🏼 1. 💬 Communication and socialization differences: People often think that autistic kids can’t have back-and-forth conversations, make friends, or share interests. This isn’t true! It just looks different for neurodiverse individuals. Let's work together to create inclusive environments where autistic kids can thrive socially. 2. 🗣 Repetitive and routine behaviors: Autistic Individuals are exquisitely sensitive to their environment which often leads to preference for routine actions - the one thing that is a constant! Repetitive behaviors are also common; it’s not just flapping hands but can be humming, touching fingers together. By embracing and supporting these traits, we can accept autistic children for their beauty and foster their confidence. At Orchid Pediatrics, our developmental pediatricians are here to assist every child in their unique journey. 🌈💪 #autismawareness #autisticandproud #neurodiversity #behavioralhealth #developmentalpediatrics #orchidpediatrics

♾️The Whole Family Approachᵀᴹ for autism ☆ Providing a space for you to feel SEEN. HEARD. SUPPORTED. // Child psychologist & parental coach for autistic children
as a pediatrician, you were very likely trained in the medical model of autism. that means you were trained to focus on the deficits. autistic children also have many strengths. and focusing on those strengths is one way you can provide neurodivergent affirming care. hyperlexia, or very early reading, is one example. that patient's brain is uniquely wired to have a love of letters, numbers, and words. it truly is one of their gifts. but don't let that gift stop you from thinking that it could be autism! there is so much variability in autistic strengths and traits. one of my missions is to help pediatricians feel more equipped to screen for autism and developmental delays 💫 follow to continue learning 💫 and if you have a patient that you need to refer because autism is suspected, I currently have very little-to-no waitlist in my practice and am able to see patients via telehealth in 39 states. DM me for more details. #pediatrician #pediatricianlife #autismpediatrician #autismpediatrics #autism . . .
