Yesterday, I realised I had 2,100 connection requests and over 400 unread ‘other’ messages. 🤯 So, I spent two hours sorting through them all, either accepting, declining, or deleting, as it was driving me crazy and making me feel unorganised. Most were from manufacturers with generic "Hi" messages or AI-generated/copied and pasted content, which, let’s face it, isn’t the most effective way to connect. 🥴 I was pretty heavy-handed with the ❌, so if you’ve reached out about: ✅ Work opportunities ✅ Freelance support ✅ Genuine collaboration or networking …and haven’t heard back, please try again. You may have slipped through the cracks during my ❌ rampage, I apologise! Tip: Including a well-thought-out message with any connection request or direct message you send is much more likely to receive a reply! Happy Friday, everyone! 🩷

Helping Software Agencies Get Clients on Autopilot 📈 Stop Competing on Price | Start Attracting Top-Tier Projects Effortlessly
Am I the only one who cares about core skills and not pointless specialization? After years of chasing the next big thing in tech, real success came by focusing on core skills. I tried to start countless businesses outside my expertise. But I noticed the most successful people I spent time with always talked about their unique advantage and genius zone. They didn’t start from scratch. Instead, they doubled down on what they knew best. If you start something new and just learn from scratch, you are directly competing with the guy who’s been doing it 20 years. Find your unique angle and make it your own to stand out. Stop spreading yourself thin. Master your core skills, offer unmatched value, and watch your success grow. What's your unique advantage? Repost ♻ this for your LinkedIn network P.S. Is your headline working hard or hardly working? If it's the latter, you could be missing out on valuable opportunities. Headline is the first thing people see: • In the main feed • In all your comments • In LinkedIn recommendations So, how do you craft a headline that makes an impact? Here are the key ingredients: Clarity → Be clear about what you do → Avoid jargon and buzzwords → Make it instantly understandable Brevity → Keep it short and sweet → The first 45 characters are crucial → Every word should communicate value Relevance → Speak directly to your ideal client → Highlight the value you bring to them → Show how you solve their specific problems Take a look at your headline right now. Does it: 1. Clearly communicate what you do? 2. Speak directly to your ideal client? 3. Showcase the specific value you provide? If not, it's time for an update. Remember: A great headline can open doors, spark connections, and set you apart from the crowd. Don’t let the opportunity slip. Repost to help others out there! ♻️

We've all heard the saying, "Your network is your net worth." As a solopreneur or freelancer, your #network is indeed your most valuable asset. Building strong #relationships and a wide network can unlock new opportunities, offer support, and boost your professional growth. Here are the key points to remember: 1. Regularly Check In: Stay in touch with your contacts by sharing relevant articles and congratulating them on their achievements. Avoid only reaching out when you need something. 2. Offer Value Freely: Networking is reciprocal. Offer your help or expertise without expecting immediate returns. Focus on building trust. 3. Diversify Your Network: Don’t limit your #networking to your industry. Professionals from different fields can provide fresh perspectives and ideas. 4. Be Polite and Respectful: Always communicate with honesty and #integrity. Politeness and respect go a long way in building lasting relationships. #networking #solopreneur #community

Founder of Pence Talent & Creators | Helping brands & creatives turn content into revenue | Prev. Award-winning Filmmaker and TV Producer. ITV, Channel 4, Netflix and more | Speaker & Panellist 🎙️
The best career advice I ever got was, work out how you want to spend your day. ★ For the longest time I wanted to be a video editor, and I still love to edit, I personally think storytelling is all in the edit. ★ After some time assisting in an edit suite I quickly realised the lifestyle didn’t suit me at all. ★ This is when someone told me you need to work out how you want to spend your day… ⏱️ Forget about titles ↳ Once you get into a room, look around the room at everyone else and see what their day is like. ↳ Speak to them and if you can work with them instead if you don't enjoy what you're doing. ⏱️ Forget about industries ↳ When do you experience a flow state? ↳ Look for jobs that could allow you to do a type of work to achieve that flow state. ⏱️ Forget about social media ↳ Online there is a lot of romanticisation of jobs, roles, and entrepreneurship. Instead, focus on; ↳ How much free time you want? ↳ How often you want to travel? ↳ How much control you want over your time you would like? These are more important questions to answer. ------ ➕ Follow Aphra Kennedy Fletcher for more on creativity, media, and business. ♾️ Repost if this would be useful to your network.

Data Analyst & First Team Scout | I help aspiring and current football professionals create opportunities in the game by writing online | Creator of the Online Portfolio Blueprint
Ask most people about how they got their breakthrough role in football and they'll say some of it was "luck". You might think that doesn't help me. But you can make your own luck.... Showcase your work online, without doing this people don't know who you are, or the quality that you can offer. I got my current role in football as the Head of Recruitment already knew who I was, what skills I have and the quality I can produce. This was from my work online. Continuously make new connections, sharing your work, talking to industry experts, getting feedback to improve is all a part of growing your network. Without your network you'll struggle to get opportunities. Share articles, blogs, podcasts and your insights with new people. Say yes to all new opportunities. Whether its the opportunity for freelance work, doing a guest blog, offering to help someone, whatever it may be by saying yes you're getting experience but also getting your name out there. "Luck comes to those who create multiple opportunity frameworks. It's crucial because you can't see beyond opportunities that haven't appeared yet" - Daniel Geey, Build The Invisible Book.
