From air drying your laundry to leading bold sustainability efforts for a fortune 500 company, change comes from changing our minds about how we do things, at every level. “The world as we have created it is a process of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking,” Albert Einstein wrote. Because behaving differently starts with a decision to behave differently, it’s helpful to see that others have done just that. Governments, big corporations, small businesses, communities, individuals – any and all change in our actions begins with a decision to begin. On Earth Day, in honor of Earth Month and the ongoing myriad ways so many have decided to address their environmental impact head-on, Coho’s internal Carbon Elimination Team is happy to highlight several examples of different levels and types of successful actions to inspire your own. (One example: Here at Coho, we’ve gamified our Earth Month efforts, assembling into teams named such things as The Compost Commandos, The Plastic Patrol and Emission Impossible, to try and out-Earth each other with volunteerism, donations, community events, and more.) Read our latest blog to see how bold climate action can play out on big, medium, and little scales, and why it all matters: https://hubs.li/Q02tD3ly0 #earthday #earthday2024 #sustainability #climate #cleanenergy #waterresiliency

Today, as we celebrate Earth Day, I'm reminded of the simple actions each of us can take that, collectively, can make a significant impact on our planet. Here are five easy and meaningful ways to honor this day: 1. Take a Walk or Ride a Bike: Opt for walking or biking over driving today. It’s a small step that reduces carbon emissions and lets you enjoy the beauty of nature. 2. Turn Off Unused Electronics: Take a moment to switch off electronics and lights when not in use. Conserving energy is one of the easiest ways to contribute to our Earth’s health. 3. Declutter Responsibly: If you're spring cleaning, consider donating items you no longer need instead of throwing them away. Giving items a second life reduces waste and helps others. 4. Plant Something Green: Whether it’s a tree or a small potted plant, adding some green to your space can beautify your surroundings and help clean the air. 5. Learn and Share: Spend a little time today learning about local environmental issues and share what you learn with friends and family. These actions might seem small, but when adopted by many, they can lead to big changes. Let’s keep our gestures humble and our hopes high! What will you do to celebrate Earth Day? #EarthDay #EarthDay2024 #GoGreen #ClimateChange #Sustainability

SkyParlour Started's client, ekko, was recently featured on ‘This Is Money’ where Co-founder Oli Cook talked about their 'Planet Saver' eco-savings account, designed to empower individuals to fight climate change through their savings. Through the four environmental causes picked by ekko, individuals can contribute to climate action by aligning their savings with their values. As Cook notes, it's about finding a balance between a good rate and doing good. Key features: 👉 The Planet Saver offers competitive fixed-rate bonds: 3.4% for a one-year bond and 3.03% for a three-month option. 👉 Savers can contribute to environmental causes while earning interest, with 1% of their interest donated to projects like animal conservation, ocean plastic prevention, deforestation programs, and carbon offsetting. 👉 Oli emphasises the importance of using financial products to make a positive impact on the planet, calling for industry-wide change. 👉 Transparency is prioritised, allowing users to see exactly where their money is going and how it's making a difference. Join ekko in making a difference with your savings! Learn more about the Planet Saver and ekko's mission to reshape the financial services industry at the link below: https://lnkd.in/eWGfKujk
