Week 3: Project Update – 4 Semi-Detached Houses, Purley . . We’re making great progress! Here’s the key progress items from last week . . ✅ Building Control: Initial notice received ✅ Pre-superstructure Conditions: Six prepared and ready for submission to the planning authority ✅ Drainage & SUDs: Final design completed ✅ Contractor Meetings: Pre-contract discussions scheduled with groundworks teams this week ✅ Structural Engineering: Revised foundation design received ✅ Warranty: Application paid If all goes well and the council approves our pre-commencement conditions, we’re aiming to start on-site in early January. Plans include site clearance, demolition, enabling works, and retaining wall construction to separate our site from neighboring properties. Fingers crossed! 🤞 In other news: We’ve received feedback on our planning application for 2 new build dwellings in Forest Hill, South London. So far, no objections from consultees or neighbors. The case officer even offered to call and discuss the pre-commencement conditions—a rare but welcome gesture! If only all planning matters could be resolved with a quick phone call! Another set of fingers crossed for this one too. Now, here’s a question for you: What’s been your biggest win—or challenge—when dealing with planning authorities? Let’s share some experiences! .
