British racecourses unite to support former racehorses 🐴 In a historic move, all 59 British racecourses have agreed to significantly increase their contributions to aftercare for former racehorses through RoR. From January 2025, each racecourse will contribute £270 per fixture – a 170% increase! This funding boost will enable RoR to continue its essential work in supporting former racehorses through their transition into new careers, ensuring their ongoing wellbeing after retirement from racing. July 27th, LONG TRACK RACE!!!! Yes, that's right, Saturday night the 27th we will be using BOTH SIDES so bring your walking shoes if you plan to crash, 😂🤣😁 This will be 7" specific so if you have a 7'incher you like to show off, this is the race for you! 🍆🌶 This is primarily a Street League points race. (The other half from the one we held during Mayhem earlier this year.) Depending on if enough people have them, we may also throw in a heat or two of the MultiGP Pro Spec 7'inchers, just know these won't be seeded into finals and won't get SL points from those heats. OR... We may run the entire SL race and then run some Pro Spec heats for fun afterward, again all depends on if we have enough folks wanting to do that, so here's your "Heads-Up". The VRC Board of Directors was significantly “lucky escape” when their deal with a Chinese Communist Party-owned “Greenland” deal on its surplus land not being needed for horse racing fell over; they lacked the experience of creating in Australia a “City within a City” destination and instead offered a tacky plan that would have destroyed the vital heritage of Flemington Race Track. Let us all hope the upcoming VRC Spring Carnival is a massive success. It deserves to be coming through a challenging period with the pandemic. To save the VRC, the new CEO must devise a plan that includes more than Pony Clubs and Dance parties.   It is time to pull rabbits out of the hat. VRC's track record includes entering a deal on surplus land not needed for its race track operations with the Chinese Communist Party-owned Greenland. One of its major urban projects in China, Greenland, has now reverted to farmland and is holding cattle. Meanwhile, in Australia, with Greenland incompetence --“People who bought into the Lachlan’s Line apartment complex in Sydney’s North were promised a “prestigious new community”. Now they have discovered the basement floors in all four blocks are at risk of collapse.”
