Why Should You Work with a Reliable and Proven Sourcing & Trading Company in China? Chinese New Year is a time when China—the country with the world’s largest and most capable production lines—goes on an extended holiday. During this period, nearly all operations in China come to a halt, and millions of people travel from major industrial cities back to their hometowns to celebrate. During this long holiday, many factories in China suspend production for 15-20 days, while some extend their closures up to 30 days. Shipping companies face significant challenges, often requiring advance reservations from their partners well before the holiday rush. Additionally, many companies stop accepting new orders and postpone any existing ones until after the holiday. When everything is running smoothly, it may seem easy to work with various factories, traders, or sourcing companies in China. However, when challenges arise, it becomes crucial to collaborate with strong, reliable partners who have a proven track record. Experienced sourcing and trading companies can offer flexible and dependable solutions during difficult times, ensuring their clients’ rights are protected and minimizing potential disruptions. At TROME, thanks to our trusted suppliers, logistics partners, and our highly competent team, we have once again demonstrated our ability to ensure supply chain security by successfully loading a container for our client on the very last working day before the Chinese New Year. We take pride in the successful shipment we completed on the final business day before the holiday, ensuring a seamless and uninterrupted operation. #SupplyChain #Procurement #Sourcing #Manufacturing #OperationsManagement #CNY (Chinese New Year) #SupplyChainManagement #SourcingStrategy

A smooth supply chain begins with knowing the culture of your manufacturers. Especially when holidays are involved. Every supply chain story is a lesson in planning and flexibility. Here's one from my experience: Our supplier in Thailand needs raw materials from China to start production for a March delivery. To make it happen, we’ve structured three payments: • December: To secure the raw materials. • January: To prepare for production. • March: After the final delivery. But there’s a challenge. The raw materials must leave China by January 20—before the Lunar New Year shuts down production and logistics across the region. If you miss this important time, production will be held up and the March delivery will not happen. Knowing cultural and regional factors in supply chains helped me to predict risks and schedule payments and deadlines to avoid disruptions as much as possible. Because global supply chains aren’t just about moving goods—they’re about understanding people, cultures, and timing.

China Golden Week: What It Means for Shipping and Supply Chains 🚢 With China's Golden Week holiday approaching (October 1st - 7th), it’s important to be prepared for the potential impact on shipping and supply chains. 🇨🇳 During this national holiday: 🔸 Factories and ports close or operate at reduced capacity, leading to possible shipping delays. 🔸 Increased congestion can be expected before and after the holiday as businesses rush to fulfill orders prior to the break and catch up once operations resume. 🔸 Shipping costs may rise due to heightened demand before the holiday and limited availability of vessels and containers. 🔑 Pro Tip: If you're shipping to or from China, it’s crucial to plan ahead. Confirm your bookings early, keep an eye on inventory, and communicate with your logistics partners to avoid disruptions. Stay proactive to minimize delays and ensure your shipments stay on track during this peak season! #GoldenWeek #ChinaShipping #SupplyChain #Logistics #ImportExport #ShippingTips #GlobalTrade #BusinessPlanning

Golden Week in China Starts Today! It’s October 1st, and China’s Golden Week—the annual national holiday—is officially underway, running until October 7th. During this time, much of the country shuts down, including factories and shipping lines. If you’re importing from China, here’s how this impacts you: 🔹 Manufacturing halts as workers take a week-long break. If you haven’t planned for this, your orders may face delays. This isn’t just a pause, it creates a backlog that often carries into mid-October. 🔹 Ports operate at reduced capacity, so expect longer shipping times. Even shipments already in transit could experience delays at customs or during offloading. 🔹 Once businesses reopen, factories are hit with a surge of orders, causing production bottlenecks. This means timelines could stretch further, even after the holiday ends. What can you do? If you haven’t prepared, it’s not too late to communicate with your suppliers and adjust expectations. Look ahead to ensure you’re ready for next year’s Golden Week by planning early to avoid similar disruptions. Stay proactive and take note—timely action can help minimize the impact on your supply chain!
