This week marks the twelfth week in my role at Muraspec, #kent based #manufacturer of commercial quality #wallcoverings. This seems like a sensible time to break down in more detail what this role covers, as ‘Business Development Manager’ is a job title that I’ve seen cover many things, with varying levels of seniority, at different organisations I’ve worked for over the years. Before getting into this though, it’s well worth saying that so far, I am having an absolute blast. My new colleagues have been extremely welcoming and have definitely helped with hitting the ground running. Also, after working in manufacturing for the last decade I can categorically say that the #attitude and #flexibility of our #factory is the best I’ve worked with (and I’ve been lucky to work with some good ones). They are extremely #customerfocused and keen to help wherever possible. The first part of my role is working on the #export side of the business. This has been extremely interesting and rewarding work. Please do get in touch if you would be interested in #collaborating with us outside of the UK. The second part is looking after the UK Head Office relationships with our #merchant & #distribution partners. Those who have worked with me know that I have always had a soft spot for distribution and I’m looking forward to seeing how we can work together. Branches are looked after by our team of local Key Account Managers-so please reach out if you don’t know who yours is, or if you’d be interested in working with us. The third part is supporting #architectural & #design practices in the UK, with a focus on (but not limited to) #london. There is a lot of #uncertainty in the wallcoverings #marketplace at the moment, after a major European manufacturer went under at the end of last year. We’ve seen big knock-on issues around #supplychain and #pricing as a result. Therefore, if you have #projects that need #materials at short notice (even #bespoke/digital print) we can help you. If you’ve been let down by another #supplier, please drop me a DM. If you’d like a library update (or pointing in the direction of digital resources), #lunchandlearn or to see our factory please get in touch. #ukmanufacturing #ukmanufacturer #wallcovering #wallpapers #interiorfinishes #interiordesign #interiordesigninspiration #attitudematters #attitudeiseverything #flexibilitymatters #customerexperience #customerconnection #customersuccess #exportsales #exportsuccess #decorator #decorators #decorating #distributor #distributors #architects #interiorarchitecture #supplychainsolutions #majorprojects #bespokedesign #bespokesolutions #bespokeinteriors #factorytour #callme

Get to know Rob Zuck, our Showroom Manager at ProSource of Austin 🤝 💭 What path led you to becoming a showroom manager? "My career is deeply rooted in the construction industry. I started as an installer, gaining invaluable hands-on experience. Transitioning into project management, I developed skills in coordinating and overseeing projects. Over time, I moved into leadership roles, guiding sales teams with a focus on delivering world-class customer service. This commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction naturally led me to ProSource Wholesale, where I can leverage my extensive industry experience to manage the showroom effectively and ensure our customers receive the best possible service. ----- 💭 What's the most rewarding part of your job? "The most rewarding part of my job is empowering my team and clients to achieve their goals." ----- 💭 Do you have a favorite member or client story that always makes you smile? "A particularly memorable client story for me is working hand in hand with NARI to remodel a house, enabling a father and husband to be active and safe at home again." ----- 💭 Can you describe a particularly memorable or rewarding experience you've had while working in the showroom? "One of my most memorable experiences was hiring Amanda Marks as a sales assistant, mentoring her to become an Account Manager, and seeing her consistently excel." ----- 💭 What's the best piece of advice you've ever received about work or life? It's better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt." ----- 💭 How do you ensure your members have a positive experience in the showroom? "To ensure our members have a positive experience, I engage with them daily on the floor, interact positively with account managers during appointments, and follow up swiftly when challenges arise." ----- ➡️ Hobbies & Interests: "Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family, hunting, working out, practicing martial arts, playing golf, and enjoying video games." ----- ➡️ Superpower Wish: "If I could have any superpower, it would be teleportation to get clients' materials here quicker, undamaged, and saving on freight! 😊" ----- ➡️ Hidden Talent: "A hidden talent of mine is that I have won several martial arts championships." ----- ➡️ Work Essentials: "One thing I can't live without at work is our operations team, as they are truly the backbone of the showroom." ----- ➡️ Showroom Theme Song: "If our showroom had a theme song, it would be 'We Are Family' by Sister Sledge." ----- ➡️ Favorite Lunch Spot Near the Showroom: "My favorite local spot for lunch near the showroom is Julie's Noodles, a Chinese restaurant with the absolute BEST dumplings ever!" ----- Stay tuned for more introductions and insights from our amazing team at ProSource of Texas! Hangerstock.com also connects canceled orders and in-stock clothes from clothing factories to U.S. clothing retailers. In the pursuit of sales, the laminate industries seems to be divided into two distinct categories: price-driven sales and design-driven sales. In a price-driven market like 0.8mm thickness , it's no surprise that the emphasis often shifts away from quality. Price wars become the norm, and consumers are offered with lower prices at the cost of product integrity. Unfortunately in the premium segment of 1mm, where one might expect a greater focus on best of designs with top quality, the situation is somewhat perplexing. Even with the premium price tags surprisingly the best of manufactures and showroom owners are less attentive to the quality aspect. Products are often sold to consumers without brand at higher price only on surface value without caring about the quality. It is time for all the trading fraternity to rethink their priorities and check the quality parameter from their suppliers. In this way, we can truly flourish, with happy customers and honestly justify their hard earned money.

In ARENAFOOD we help food factories with raw materials like Aseptic tomato paste and fruits puree and concentrate and help supply chain with end user product like jam canned fruit, food, pluses, tomato & tomato paste.
the factory has been closed! A very important principle in selling is not selling. One of the conditions in which we should not sell is when the customer cannot afford the product and does not have the financial ability to buy it. In this case, the sales team should not force the customer to buy by doing strange things and using all kinds of sales methods and presenting all kinds of offers. This purchase hurts the organization rather than hitting the customer, Unfortunately, our sales team did 3 years ago and it led to the closure of the factory! Yes, the factory was closed .4 years ago, with the start of the CORONA pandemic, our team decided to produce Melt Blown fabric (Melt Blown fabric is used for filters in medical and industrial cases). At first, we experienced very good sales, but when many competitors emerged, it became difficult to sell. One day, a customer entered the factory (we thought he was a saving angel). I wish he had not entered!!! The sales team offered everything they knew and every offer they could suggest to the customer until finally he was satisfied to buy the entire depot of the factory (at that time, the depot had been produced for about 6 months). The sales team accepted the 3-month check from the customer, and since those 3 months, 3 years have passed and we still haven't received the money, and the customer (the saving angel!) is also in jail. My dear friends, selling something to someone who cannot afford it will destroy our own company! Be sure to check the main customers of the company and make sure that the customer has the ability to pay for the order, because if the customer cannot afford it, there are only two options: either the customer is a fraud or he entered the company to destroy himself and us. #marketing #sales #customerrelation

While conducting sales outside my showroom, I enjoy discussing our products, showcasing our impressive samples, and guiding clients through various options to help them choose the right texture and color. However, two aspects pose challenges which seem disturbing: 1. Lack of punctuality: Despite my scheduled start time, the meeting often begins 30 minutes to an hour late. Unfortunately, in Sri Lanka, punctuality is not always valued, forcing me to adapt to this reality. However, I prioritize punctuality and always arrive at least 5 minutes early for meetings, even when I know they won't start on time. My Dad’s golden advice - “always reach on time and never make anyone wait for you.” 2. Inadequate lighting: Proper lighting is essential for selecting the perfect fabric, and its absence presents a significant challenge during sales I realize that there are some things which you can’t control but what’s in your control, be firm on it.
